Signed Margot de Taxco Swanns is a coveted design. Even more difficult to find with all the repousse balls in perfect condition. All the balls are channel set making this item even harder to construct. The center reflects the age being open backed repousse. The center drop is 2 in. and the measurement across is 4 in. across. An classic pair of French 18K yellow gold baton cufflinks with a most unusual mechanical snap mechanism. The batons have reeded surfaces with plain inset bands at either end. When one of the plain bands is pushed in, a hidden spring mechanism releases the face from its mate. Snap cufflinks were uncommon in France, and this is the first pair we've seen combining the snap with a mechanical action. The cufflinks bear French gold hallmarks and are stamped with an unidentified goldsmith's mark.

Made of very heavy gauge gold(weighs 15 grams), this minimal modernist design is size 5 1/2 and is 1 1/4" high at center edge. Signed "GEORG JENSEN 750 18K 1091 DENMARK", it is in very good condition except for a few wear lines, tiny scratches, and a tiny dent on the edge of the ring. This smart pair of gold toned cufflinks was made by Lew Magram, SHIRTMAKER TO THE STARS in the 1950's. Each a copy of his famous shirt with tie including a red ruby-like glass cufflink on each cuff and label L.M. The shirt is textured gold and the tie and cuffs have a smooth surface.
