Maestro Velazquez is one of my favorite early Mexican silversmiths. Based on the hallmarks on his work, he was most probably based in Mexico City and his creations are almost always in the so-called Mexico City style of repousse. Very well made and carefully finished, this figural fish brooch is also characterized by a fun, cartoon-ish air that will put a smile on your face every day of the year...

An outstanding vintage modernist sterling silver necklace by studio jeweler, Fridl Blumenthal, (1905-1998). Signed with her Tulip mark, FRIDL, and Sterling.

Heavy sterling silver with contrasting oxidized and polished surfaces. Necklace measures approximately 15" around and has a secure hook closure. Due to the hook nature of the clasp, an extender could be attached if needed. Links measure 5/8" at the widest.

A delightful late Victorian 14K yellow gold wishbone pin with a delicately enameled four-leaf clover in the middle. The shamrock's petals are arranged around a small pearl and are finely enhanced with shaded green enamel. The clasp is stamped with Krementz' hallmark.

Origin: America, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, no enamel damage. Dimensions: 1-3/8" x 13/16". Weight: 4.2 grams.

A lovely carved coral cameo of a maiden in an elegant 14K yellow gold surround set with small pearls. The cameo is deeply carved and has nicely even color. The back retains the original folding bail, pinstem and clasp. The back is stamped "14K" and has the maker's mark for Erlich & Sinnock, a Newark jeweler.

Beautiful Hobe bracelet made of cast 1 " (2.5 cm) hinged squares with hand applied filigree leaves and coils that hold unfoiled sapphire, ruby and clear color stones. It is 7" (17.4 cm) long, not including the tongue part of the clasp. It also has an extra locking mechanism on the side and loops where a guard chain could be added. It is signed Hobe on the back...

Vintage Antique 19th or Early 20th Century Unmarked Unsigned 16.5" silver choker necklace with 19 reticulated solid not stamped stations and 6 simulated blue lapiz lapis art glass beads with gold glittery mixed in. Beads are in 3 sizes (5 to 12mm). Nice old barrel closure catch clasp. Not marked, nor tested, yet feel this could be a heavily plated silver on brass even though it has some patina such as seen on old sterling and polishes so. Weighs 21 Grams...

Very reminiscent of jewelry created in the 1950s by Graziella Laffi, the Italian-born jewelry designer habitually referred to as “the Spratling of Peru”, this is a rarely surfacing creation of Carmen Beckmann’s. Thick, hand-hammered silver sheet that was then oxidized is used to form the bracelet’s main body. Upon that an impressive fish applique marries the piece’s Arts and Crafts feeling with the stylization of ancient Meso-american glyphs...

This sterling baby cup charm is 3/8" tall and 7/16" wide. It is hallmarked sterling.

A 1960-s minimalist diamond bracelet is decorated by 12 brilliant cut diamonds. Each diamond is set in a round 14Kt white gold bezel setting, and half round 14Kt yellow gold bars connecting the diamonds complete the design. The approximate total weight of all diamonds is 1.50Ct. The length of the bracelet is 7 ¼” and at the widest part it is ¼” wide.

This interesting handmade pin is composed of thin interwoven silver rods that evoke an unfinished piece of textile. It is sturdy and the secure pin stem and clasp are applied so as to wear the piece on a diagonal. On the back is an applied plaque bearing the mark for Mexico and 925 for sterling, and an unidentified serpentine mark that looks to have been struck twice. The piece is possibly from the 1960s or early 1970s. It measures 2 inches by 2 inches square. Weight: 21.2 grams

There is a 10in span of 3 drops and 2 additional links connected to chain and a thick silver hook. The necklace has a wearable length of 17in. Each drop is a dramatic 2.5in. long and the silver to the links is also thick and made with precision repousse. With a hallmark of STERLING MEXICO and no dents or damage anywhere we have a very smart presence to enjoy. The weight is 52 grams which is heavy considering the 7 inches of chain. This great sterling silver ring has an oval, central blue gem turquoise gem: petit point bezel-set. The stone sits with the decorative stamped outline. It is a size 9; but, has an adjuster. The front measures 1 1/4" x 1". It has good heft, weighing over 1 ounce. The back is marked TG.

This Los Ballesteros bracelet measures 6 3/4" ( inner circumference), 1 1/8" wide and 110.7 grams. (3.2) troy ounces. Excellent condition except for a couple of small dents to the clasp end half moon segment. Clasp closes tightly.

This sturdy cuff bracelet features a ribbed design that runs horizontally along the entire piece. It has kept its shape and has a soft, warm patina from age. A few very minor scratches, hardly noticeable without magnification. The inside is marked sterling; there is no maker’s mark. While it has a Mexican feel, it is probably American-made. Sterling modernist star earrings by the famous NYC silversmith, Ed Wiener, c.1952. These hand made asymmetrical stars with recessed oxydized silver solid centers and shiny silver forming the raised outline of the stars are expansive and exciting. A vintage sterling hand wrought large pendulum shaped pendant with a small prong set dark red stone in the center. Looks like it may be a garnet. The pendant has smooth sterling around the rim with two zigzag rows of textured sterling across the center.
