The art of "metales casados" (mixed or married metals) was practiced by several Taxco workshops yet I think Victoria was its queen. Ana Maria Nunez de Brilanti combined copper, silver and brass not only to design exquisite jewelry but also hollowware of various kinds and decorative objects. In the necklace presented here she seems to be inspired by Egyptian Revival motifs which is not unusual for her - there are at least a couple of other parures she created that tread that same path...

A delightful Georgian harlequin ring featuring a marquise cut citrine surrounded by a border of alternating green and red stones—emeralds, rubies and paste. A handsome pair of 14K yellow gold cufflinks in the "etrier" style originally popularized by Cartier. The design was meant to suggest a horsebit. When worn, only the circles are visible. The circles are finished with a twisted rope design. Most cufflinks of this style were made by French jewelers, and it is unusual to find an American pair in 14K gold. Stunning vintage 1970s modernist collar necklace in sterling silver with a large genuine rock crystal quartz stone. A fine pair of lapis lazuli cufflinks mounted in 18K yellow gold. The front faces are panel-cut lapis spheres and the backs are round lapis tablets set in twisted rope borders. Beautiful Mikimoto 18K yellow gold and pearl brooch. Opposing swirls of gold surround a cluster of five Mikimoto pearls, ranging from 5 to 6 millimeters. The quality of the pearls is excellent (estimated at AA quality), with very high luster and a bright white body color and rosé overtones. The back is marked with Mikimoto’s hallmark and “750” for 18K gold.

I have a pair of 18kt solid gold William Spratling earrings today that are obsidian spikes. There are 5 obsidian spikes to each earring and they are in perfect condition. The matching spike necklace is iconic and rare but these earrings are simply a stand out and rare. They are 1 in. tall and 1 in. across. These figures are approximate.

This Victorian gold filled slide chain comprises a 48" long rope chain. The oval slide decorated is by 3 seed pearls on one side and unadorned on the other. The slide is slightly loose on the chain and has suffered a small dent. Otherwise, the piece is in good condition.

Circa pre-1960, this necklace produced by Matilde Poulat has a generous length of 23", with a 3 1/4" wide center. There are amethyst stations on each side, with double chains continuing up the neck. The palomas sit next to a vase with turquoise flowers. Length on the center is 2 1/2".

Weight is a substantial 91.1 grams.

A sterling silver hand wrought necklace with a central fringe of molten, drippy dangles by the mid century modernist studio jeweler, Ruth Berridge, (1921-2004). The necklace measures about 17 1/4" long, and the longest drop is 1 1/2". Marked Berridge in three places on the back of the drops. There are two hooks on the snake chain that hold securely. Fine condition. This piece is from her estate. Amazing work from a gifted artist.

A vintage modernist silver necklace with three large charms suspended from a rectangular bar by the master sculptor and artist from Ecuador, Oswaldo Guayasamin.

The central pendant measures 4" across with the charms hanging 2". The chain measures 20" long and slides over the head. The center charm is marked with the stylized Guayasamin on the back. The charms are heavy and solid. Fine condition. There are minor scratches to the rectangular bar.

Interesting piece.

This exquisite pendant measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" (and is slightly convex). It features the male peacock with its plumage of feathers in alternating green and black enamel. It is marked 148 AR 800 (AR for Italian Province, Arezzo, 800 for silver content). It is in excellent condition. It is circa 1950s.

This superb unmistakably retro ring is made of 14Kt pink gold decorated by 8 natural rubies and 6 brilliant cut diamonds. While the largest tube set diamond weighs approximately 0.35 Ct total weights of all diamonds is approximately 1.20Ct. The width and the height of the ring is 1” and the size is 8 ¼ but it can be sized.

An elegant 18K yellow gold bracelet in a modified curb link design, with alternating links set with round diamonds. Despite its substantial weight, the openness of the oval links creates a delicate appearance appropriate for daily casual wear. An amazing sterling and fire opals bracelet by Mexican designer Carmen Beckmann. The stones are varied and vibrant in color and are all in beautiful condition. Beckmann is one of the few well known women Mexican silversmiths of her time, active primarily in the 60's and 70's and having a shop in San Miguel de Allende. A fine 19K yellow gold folding ball locket with a capacity for four images. The exterior is decorated with a stippled checkerboard pattern with a belt on either side that holds the sphere closed. Circa 1960, this Italian silver duck was probably made by Egenio and Enrico Ranzoni. His feathers display exquisite detail and his bill and feet are gilded. He measures approximately 8" long from bill to tail and 3.26" tall, from his webbed feet to the middle of his back. He is beautifully made and in excellent condition. Very pretty vintage floral pin in 14K yellow gold set with a cluster of six pearls. The setting looks somewhat like a poinsettia blossom. The Florentine finish and pierced veining add a nice bit of detail to the setting. The pearls, ranging from 4.5 to 5.0 millimeters, have ivory body color with very rosé overtones.
