The "Silver By Toño" hallmark was used from 1948-1953. For the discerning collector of Mexican silver - this bracelet is nothing short of spectacular.

This bracelet alternates five huge amethyst cabochons between repoussé silver shields tipped with silver balls. Closure is a pin on a chain. This design, in a necklace, is shown on p. 96 of Silver Seduction. The amethysts measure 15/16" in diameter.

Closed wearable length is just over 6 1/2"...

An attractive pair of mid-century 14K gold cufflinks, the faces divided diagonally into contrasting triangles. On each face, one triangle is deeply ribbed, while the smooth portion features a gypsy-set diamond. The angularity of the design makes for a very modernistic appeal. The diamonds are graded as J/I2. The backs are marked “14K”.

A superb pair of 18K gold earrings from the Retro period. Each earring is shaped as a pair of golden flowers, the centers collet-set with old European-cut diamonds. They are also designed so that they could be worn as dress clips on either side of the neckline. The flower stems are gathered with double ribbons set with square-cut rubies. The diamonds have very nice color, probably in the G-H range, and good clarity estimated at SI2...

A modernist zig zag bracelet and/or a pair of 'sail' earrings both in lightly hammered sterling silver by Ed Levin. May be purchased separately or together.

The bracelet measures 7" around. It measures about 1" wide. Has a secure hidden clasp. Signed with the script © EL Ed Levin, Sterling. Has some minor surface scratches and tarnish.

The earrings, in the sail or flag design, measure about 1 1/2" long in the front and the sails are 7/8" across...

Modernist cufflinks made up of eight little geometrically arranged cylinders. Made by Isaac Cohen, Stockholm and marked ICO, S:t Erik’s head (the hallmark for Stockholm), R9 = year mark for 1967, three crowns and S indicating the Swedish silver standard of the time = 830/1000. Width "1 / 2.8 cm. Condition: fine.

Very nice 14 karat yellow and rose gold brooch in the Retro Modern style, set with a single deeply lustrous 4.5mm pearl. The circle is rose gold, and the leaves are a slightly green-tinted yellow gold. The interplay of gold colors is a signature of period Retro Modern jewelry. The back is marked by the jeweller, A. J. Hedges & Co.

A handsome, classic pair of Art Deco cufflinks with octagonal green chrysoprase plaques mounted with 18K yellow gold to chrysoprase torpedo backs. The gemstones have natural color (not dyed) and excellent translucency. The faces are slightly concave and are finished with a beveled edge. The connectors are stamped with European hallmarks for 18K gold.

A picture is worth a thousand words, they say, and in preparing to offer this fantastic find of mine, I am putting my trust in popular wisdom. When one has been dealing in vintage Mexican silver jewelry for as long a time as I have, one tends to hear that little "devil" in one's ear louder and louder, claiming that there is nothing new or exciting left to be encountered. Thankfully though, life and the old maestros of Taxco still keep some aces hidden up their sleeve...

Pair of floral design period retro sterling, turquoise, and rubies scatter pins, c.1940's. They each have five curved and crimped petals with a 4-pronged ruby(5 points each) between each petal and a center turquoise stone. There are a total of 10 rubies. Each pin measures 1 1/4" in diameter and is 1/2" high. Unusual and very cute. Excellent condition, except that one ruby has a small "bite" but is held firmly in place by the prongs...

This mid-century bracelet from Antonio Pineda is a seldom seen design, sometimes referred to as "Rings and Planets", with a smooth and seamless flow. Thick, heavy, and just all around stunning. The closure is a tongue which fits into a round ball, and is itself a work of art. Measures a closed, wearable length of 7 1/4". Weight is 68.6 grams. An elegant Victorian snowflake pendant worked in 14K yellow gold and set with old mine cut diamonds. The overall effect is very delicate with a lot of sparkle. The center diamond is approximate .33 carat and is graded as I/J, I1; the other diamonds, each .10 carat are I/J color and SI1/2 clarity. The pendant has a folding bail and retains the original pinstem which disappears nicely when being worn as a pendant. The back is marked “14K.”

This William Spratling necklace is a rare one to find. The clasp is an oversized stone measuring 1 in. and the underside of the necklace has a flat bottom. The length is 17in. long and is a fraction to 5/8th of an inch wide. The caviar balls are triple layered with the center row making a peak. This is all quality with thick silver and a total weight of 117 grams. No damage and a natural patina, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Beautiful vintage emerald ring with 2 small side diamonds in 18K yellow gold (stamped on inside of ring), from Columbia, South America. Width of ring at its widest part is 7mm. The top of the ring is set with a gorgeous Colombian emerald approx. .33 carat, 5mm x 4mm flanked by 2 small diamonds on both sides for a total of 4 diamonds Size 7 (CAN be resized by a competent jeweler) Excellent condition! This Trifari Alfred Philippe sterling jelly belly fly brooch is vermeil with rhinestones and lucite jelly belly. It is hallmarked Sterling(The only thing that I can read). It is in super condition. It measures 1 5/8" x 1 3/4". Circa 1945 designed by Alfred Philippe.

Lucite jelly bellies were copied from figurals originally done in gold and rock crystal.

A colorful Venetian Etruscan fob charm worked in 18K yellow gold and set with six emerald cut amethysts. The gold surfaces are covered with ornate ropetwists, rosettes and beading. The shape—sort of an elongated barrel—is unusual and shows off the richly-colored amethysts to good advantage. The jump ring is marked 750 for "18K".

A deep red branch coral 24-3/4" necklace with 14k yellow gold fittings. The coral is a nice rich red colour, and the pieces are subtly graduated in size, ranging from 1/4 to 1/2" long.
