This traditional, Norwegian solje pin, c. 1950’s, was made by Aksel Holmsen. It has an appealing stamped design and six dangling, concave disks. The back is signed, “NORWAY STERLING 925 S,” and has the Holmsen maker’s mark (2 overlapping silversmith tools--see pictures). The brooch has a C-catch and a diameter of 1”. It is in excellent condition.

This ring is quite lovely. The green enamel is perfect, depicting an abstract heart, or the head of a snake with large, green eyes (whichever suits your mood). The solid sterling silver band tapers from the pointed tip, as it wraps around. It is just under 1/2” at its widest. The inside is marked, “DAVID-ANDERSEN NORWAY STERLING 925S.” The basic size is a 7, but the band is slightly adjustable. This piece has good heft and is in excellent condition.

This elegant depiction of a Wiener Dog is c. late 1940’s. The sterling silver vermeil and marcasites compliment the beautiful ropetwist, open wirework of the body. The ear is set with marcasites, as is the eye. The back is marked “ALICE CAVINESS” and “STERLING GERMANY” on applied plaques. The pin measures 2” (from snout to tail) x 1/2". This wonderful piece is in excellent condition.

Here’s a brightly colored, basse-taille enameled peacock charm: feathers fully fanned. Peacocks add to the beautiful colors of Mexico, roaming about freely. The back of the charm is marked “MEXICO 925” and eagle “15” mark...

These lovely sterling vermeil, enamel earrings have a unique and beautiful design. They are in the shape of a 4-leaf clover with wonderful white guilloche enamel. Each enamel clover is decorated with a flowing, applied openwork, wiretwist design, following the shape of the clover. The earrings are clipbacks and are marked, “STERLING NORWAY” beneath an “H” inside a circle (the maker’s mark for Ivar T. Holt)...

Here is a beautiful, ornate, Norwegian sterling silver and enamel bracelet. It consists of 8 butterfly-shaped, linked panels of pearly white guilloche enamel. Each panel has a lovely applied wirework decoration with beaded center. The bracelet has a safety chain and a V-spring and box clasp, on which, “925 S STERLING NORWAY” is marked, along with a maker’s mark of (what looks to me like) an “E” inside a lobed oval. (I am unfamiliar with this artist’s hallmark)...

Here is an interesting modern, Finnish bracelet. It is made up of 6 slightly convex links with the ridged and textured design so characteristic of Sarpaneva. It is marked, “BRONZE FINLAND P. SARPANEVA.” It measures 7 1/4” long x 1/2” wide. The safety chain adds a nice touch. The bracelet has good heft and is in excellent condition.

This sterling vermeil and enamel necklace has a lovely design. Each convex, navette-shaped link is a very pretty, pearly white, basse-taille enamel. The necklace measures 16 1/4” long (x 1/2”), with a T-bar clasp. The T-bar is marked “STERLING DENMARK” and “VB” (for Volmar Bahner). This piece is in excellent condition.

This signed Butler & Wilson brooch was created in the 1980's. Swarovski crystals are prong set into a rhodium plated casting. The piece measures approximately 3" x 2.5" and is in excellent condition.

These handsome cuff links are so very sleek while they keep it simple: a welcome characteristic of Pearson’s work. The heavy, solid, sterling silver is another Pearson signature. They measure 1” x 3/4” (x 1/8” at their widest). They are both signed “STERLING PEARSON” and are in excellent condition.

This fine pin, with its deep, dark yellow, palmate leaves is by Norwegian silversmith Bernard Meldah. It is sterling vermeil with basse-taille enamel and measures 1 3/4” x 1 3/4”. It has a C-catch and is marked “925 S STERLING” “MB” (superimposed, Meldah’s maker’s mark) and “MADE IN NORWAY.” This piece is in excellent condition.

This classic A. Michelsen daisy pin has a diameter of 1 3/4”. The white enamel petals, like layered rays, are shiny and beautiful surrounding the detailed, sterling vermeil, textured disk. The back is marked with the “AM” beneath a crown (the Anton Michelsen maker’s mark) hallmark and “STERLING DENMARK 925 S” below that. This brooch is in excellent condition!

These illustrious earrings are an early example of the luminary, Norwegian silversmith’s artistry. They were made while she was at Norway Designs Plus Studio. Here is a lovely pair of double-leaf, clipback earrings. The basse-taille enamel is a vivid, seafoam green. The earrings are marked with David Andersen hallmarks: the pair of scales, D-A 925 S STERLING NORWAY, with the designer’s mark (W inside a circle). (The clipback findings are marked “METALL” on the outside of the clip.) The earrings and their curvy, shiny leaves measure 1 3/8” x 1”. The pair is in excellent condition.

This more-than-unique pendant is quite a piece of art. With a textured surface on both sides, it is a wonderfully abstract grid of connected, irregular squares/rectangles layered at various heights. Adding to its unusual beauty are the 3 amethyst cabochons, bezel set in protruding cylinders. The attractive patina is another plus. The pendant is made of 835 silver (stamped in 2 places). I am unable to find any other discernible marks...

This very early bracelet displays wonderful artistry with each large and ornate link. It is extremely well crafted. The curves and the design of this heavy gauge silver bracelet are wonderful. Each link is slightly convex, adorned with a vivid, turquoise cabochon (each with different greens, blues and browns forming beautiful matrixes). The bracelet measures 7 5/8" x 1 5/8"...

These dainty, clipback earrings are another fine example of the basse-taille enamel work of David-Andersen. The shiny vermeil accentuates the lovely, pearly white leaves that encircle each other on each earring. Circa 1860's, a wonderful Persian turquoise and seed pearl bow brooch of sterling silver with C clasp, and in its original box. The brooch measures 2.5" x 1.25" and is in excellent condition, although the hinged straight pin could be straightened a bit.
