Impressive in size this vintage Janna Thomas Mexican silver pendant is an example of the "pluma Azteca" technique which incorporates vividly colored bird feathers in sterling jewelry. Very reminiscent of plique-a-jour work, "pluma Azteca" was introduced by the Los Castillo workshop and it is a demanding, difficult process so it was emulated by just a handful of other Taxco maestros. Thomas excelled in it, however, and her pieces are sought after by knowledgeable collectors...

An Art Deco 14k watch chain in 14k white and yellow gold circa 1920s. This 13-3/4" length watchchain consists of 5/8" x 1/16" wide rectangular alternating white and yellow gold sections with oval loops between. It has a spring-ring catch on one end and a swivel on the other. It is stamped 14K on the watch swivel, spring-ring and chain ends. It weighs 9.2 grams, and it is in excellent vintage condition with no breaks, losses, damage or repairs...

Here is an interesting portrait in silver, of a wind-swept young person clad in a cloak and hood. It’s very detailed and just lovely. We think it’s a boy (very unusual in jewelry), as the hair seems to be quite short under the hood. The hood itself looks like a cap made from a flower, as seen on fairies in Victorian children’s books. It measures 1-1/8” wide, is hollow, and is marked “STERLING TOP GERMAN SILVER BACK”. The sterling front is in very good condition...

A Georgian 14k glass emerald and diamonds ring circa 1780-1800. This antique yellow gold (unmarked but tested and guaranteed) ring features a 3/8" across top which has claw set early silver coloured genuine rose cut diamonds surrounding an emerald coloured glass stone. Emeralds then were a scarce and difficult stone to acquire, so the use of a cut glass "gem" with diamonds was not unusual...
This white coral bracelet has 14K bead spacers. It is 7 1/2" long. The coral beads are approximately 3/8" in diameter.
EXTREMELY RARE: Large and very substantial(weighs 20 troy oz.) sterling OPEN serving bowl hand made by William Spratling, Mexico, c.1931. Beautifully hand hammered, this piece measures 11" by 7" by 2 1/2" high. It has a rounded bottom and sides with beautiful handles. The sides are rounded inward and will not accept a top. Add a touch of class to any sleeve with this pair of vintage gold plated damascene toggle back cuff links. Damascene was an process of inlaying metal objects with 22K gold or silver decoration. These dome shaped cuff links were made in Japan, circa 1950 featuring a mythical Imperial phoenix bird surrounded by flora and fauna, unmarked, swivel toggle back. Size: 7/8" diameter. Very good vintage condition with wear to the dome.
This novelty pair vintage cufflinks is an elegant piano keyboard design, the keys are mother of pearl and black onyx, separated by gold lines, the backs are gold plated on sterling, marked on the side AUSTRIA.. Measurements: 7/8 in wide x 1/2 in long. Condition of the design is perfect. The camera shows wear to the gold plate which is not as visible to the naked eye.
