A pretty 18K yellow gold pendant in a shape that suggests a pair of wings, each set with rose cut diamonds. The design is completed with an additional diamond at the top in a buttercup setting. When Frederick W. Davis (1880-1961) designed this most unusual necklace he likely chose this ancient hand carved stone from his Pre-Columbian collection. The wearable length of the necklace is 20 inches. The pendant including cascabeles is 2 3/4" X 2". The small jade mask looks to be from the ancient Mexican city of Teotihuacan. When the artist placed the jade mask in onyx, he may have carved it to replicate the large ear adornments and necklace that priests of Teotihuacan wore...

A vintage hand wrought modernist sterling pendant strung on a green silk cord by noted mid century jeweler, Mary Schimpff Webb, (1922-2019).

The central pendant set with a large green stone has light hammering. The pendant measures 1 7/8" long and 1 1/4" across. The four links and the hook clasp are also hand wrought sterling silver. Marked Schimpff sterling on the back. Measures about 22" long in total.

The spectacular violet color of this oval brilliant-cut glows in this lovely 14K yellow gold Art Nouveau setting featuring iris blossoms and foliage. In Victorian flower language, the iris often represented the sentiment "I have a message for you," but in this instance I think the use of irises probably relates more to the purple tones of the gemstone.
