This pretty ring consists of a flower made of six pearl “petals” (one of which is a replacement), centered by a tiny rose cut diamond. There is a compartment underneath, perhaps for storing a lock of hair, but no glass. The ring tests as a very strong 14kt, so it is probably 15kt (and therefore English). A charming and intriguing bracelet by Japanese designer and jeweler Miye Matsukada (1922-1981). She worked from her store on Newbury St. in Boston from 1950 until her death. The links appear to have design influence from her country of origin. Measuring 7" end to end , it is 1/2" wide and weighs 19 grams. It is in fine original condition and signed as shown.
