A colorful and whimsical painting of tropical fruits in a basket, two birds adding to the charm, signed at lower right by early Haitian artist ANDRE SATURNE (1927-1983). The work is painted on board and measures 15 1/2" by 19 1/2" (19" by 23" framed in wood with gold leaf inner portion). Saturne was born in Petionville, a Port-au-Prince suburb. He attended the now-famous Centre d'Art in 1956 when the Haitian art movement as we know it today was just beginning to come together...

**One of two very similar works by the artist in my shop, preferably to be kept together- Oil on canvas, 16 1/4" by 12 3/4", in an old master style but of mid to late 19th century date, teaturing a house, tree and dogs and travelers, signed at lower left by noted, auctioned artist PIERRE LOUIS JOSEPH DE CONINCK (1828-1910). This is an almost monochromatic, very understated, subtle painting; perhaps a study for a larger, highly finished work...

Ovesized Japanese limited edition copperplate etching titled “Makinohama Beach” by Tanaka Ryohei (1933-1919). Pencil-signed, dated 2006, and numbered 19/100 in the lower margin. Paper size: 24 1/4" x 13" (image: 20 1/8" x 9"). This etching was never framed and is in excellent condition.

A small gouache painting of what I believe to be New York's tony upper 5th Avenue area in winter, the view looking south, encompassing the entry to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, skyscrapers filling the distance, 7" by 10 3/4" (13 1/2" by 17" in gold metal frame with double mat). I think it also possible that the scene could be Chicago's Michigan Avenue and the Chicago Art Museum; more research needed. The work is signed at lower left by German-born artist FRANZ BACHELIN (1895-1980)...

Small beautiful masterpiece oil on canvas of the French Normandy Region in Winter,circa 1930s measuring 16”x13” Maggy Monier, 1887-1965 Notable French art-déco painter, Maggy Monier was renowned for her watercolor postcards. She illustrates this edition with six vibrant watercolors on tracing paper, as well as one ornamental, watercolor half-title page. Her imagery and palette echo the orientalist themes present in Baudelaire’s poetry, but she remains in the art-déco style...

A Fine Korean Orchid/Rock (石蘭) scroll painting by 의제(毅齋), 허백련 ((許百鍊 1891∼1977): Korea Ink stroke with orchid flowers and rock painted on Paper, with description on the upper right and signed with red square seal, 의제(毅齋), it’s in good condition but having some area creased, it measures 39cm x 124.5cm painting only. 52cm x 182.5cm overall.

Circa 1850 lithograph with hand coloring, titled at bottom "The Flight into Egypt", published by the noted American lithographer James Baillie. Baillie began his career in the late 1830's as a picture framer in New York City, and then worked as a colorist for the Currier and Ives firm. By 1843 or 1844 he had struck out on his own, producing a wide range of lithographed images in the style of his former employer...

A PAIR of oil on canvasboard paintings, each 20" by 24", signed at lower right by the same artist, "McKee", the subjects a rural farm in autumn, the other an eerily empty Hopperesque old house. These were found in Southern California and the scenes may well be Californian. There are a number of artists by the name McKee so it is difficult to determine who may have created these...
