Oil on board, (ONE OF TWO BY THE ARTIST IN MY SHOP), 4" by 7 1/2" inside the mat (7 1/2" by 11 1/4" as framed) signed at lower left in green "Six" and dated there "32", the subject the iconic saguaro cactus of the southwestern American desert at sunset. Because that species of cactus grows naturally only in Arizona, we can assume that this is indeed an Arizona scene...

This is an OIL ON CANVAS, STILL LIFE with FLOWERS by JOANN V. GENT. Framed size is 19 3/4"; 15 1/2" X 19 1/2" sight. DAFFODILS, VASE, and FRUIT. There is a slight canvas puncture top central but invisible when looking at this Work.

A circa 1920's to 1940's old reprint of the much-loved classic Currier and Ives lithograph "American Winter Scenes", with a horse-drawn sleigh heading towards the snug home at right in which a party appears to be held. The piece measures 23 1/2" by 30 1/2" in what I believe is a birdseye maple frame. Condition is very good, vintage condition. The original 19th century lithograph is very expensive; this reasonable alternative will provide the same decorative punch.

A very early original work, 1948, by famous California-based Pop Art master WAYNE THIEBAUD (1920-2021): a caricature of a man, seen in profile, executed in a cartoonish style, in grays, white and black. The piece (14 1/2" by 12" within the mat) is signed by the artist at lower left center, and dated nearby. There is a horizontal fold as shown, and some discoloration of the paper at right, along the fold...

Gouache on paper still life with iris and porcelain figurine of a woman, 20" by 15 1/2" and narrow gold frame of the period, signed at lower left with what appears to be "g. r. becker", and bearing in German script a Christmas (Weihnachten) 1941 dedication, the work apparently given as a gift, on the reverse framing paper. I do not see a listing for a name that would match this signature so am offering this as a decorative work...

Difficult to get more NATURALISTIC than this Work with Multiple DEER in a Forest Setting. The Artist is REINHOLDT NIELSEN, 1891 - ?, well~listed Painter and known for DEER. Size is 20" X 30" Framed. Signed lower right by the Artist. 3 Small spots have been tape~covered on the back of the Canvas; otherwise in Excellent Condition. Date this work circa 1950, perhaps earlier. UNUSUALLY Nice Oil on Canvas by REINHOLDT NIELSEN, a Danish Painter.

Original oil painting on panel by Max Band (Lithuanian-American, 1900-1974), signed l.l. and dating from the forties or the fifties. In excellent condition and still in its original frame. 23" by 19" in its frame, 14" by 10" painting alone. Max Band is a well-known School of Paris artist. He studied in Berlin in the early twenties before moving to Paris. His first solo exhibition was in his homeland at the National Theatre in Kaunas in 1925. This is a PARIS STREET SCENE from a Virginia, U.S.A. Estate. Signed lower right: Brecla. Have researched this PAINTER and to date have not found a listing. Framed size is: 25 1/2" X 29 1/2"; sight size is 19 1/4" x 23 1/4". NOTRE DAME in the background and in EXCELLENT Condition ca. 1950 to 1970.

Oil on board painting in a fully impressionist hand, 26 1/2" by 21 1/2" (35" by 29 1/2" in old, vintage probably original frame), signed lower left and incised on the old soft board on reverse "Pines at Carmel".  This lovely impressive work is by listed California artist IDA MAYNARD CURTIS (1860-1959). Curtis was born in Pennsylvania before the outbreak of the Civil War. She studied with Charles Webster Hawthorne, and with Ross, Menard and Simon in Paris...
