It was preserved in very good condition by nice brownish patina.
Some of the seeds in the lotus pond were still movable when some were sticked but nothing is missing.

Rare Chinese Tang Dynasty Painted Pottery Stupa Jar (AD 618 - 906)

This tall pottery set comprising stand, jar and cover was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). Each part is made from a relatively high-fired grey pottery and "cold painted" in orange and white pigments, the decoration comprising geometric and floral (lotus) patterns. Sculpture of a long-nosed tanuki, walking with a hat on its back and a flask in its left paw. The piece is built around a large piece of root wood that comprises the torso, legs, the enlarged scrotum and tail. The head is a separate piece of root wood, the ears inserted. The sake flask is a small piece of root wood, and the hat is carved from a slab of a different wood species.

Hat and sake bottle are attached to the tanuki with braided silk cords.

This large Buddha is approx. 250 years old and is carved of one piece of old DARK wood. It came from a well known antique dealer in Bejing, China. The spoils of time, the cracks, the leavings of colour and the signs of age give a valuabel proof of its authenticity.

A Chinese jade vase, carved as a lotus leaf with a flower in one corner and a ribbon tying the leaf and its coiled trailing stalk forming the base. The composition is very attractive, the body is quite thinly carved and the stone is of celadon hue. A high quality example of Qing lapidary arts, it measures 14 cm ( 5 1/2 inches) high. It comes with its own custom made wooden base. Age; 19 C. condition: excellent.

A fine Chinese scholar's agate brusher washer with many of the stems and leaves worked away from the vessel in an open worked manner. The stone is a translucent light grey to almost clear color with the stems and leaves having light russet colors terminating in the leaves to an orange hue. Large Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Bowl - 16th C. Crane

This unusual blue & white porcelain bowl was made during the mid to late 16th century c.1560-1580. The outer surface remains undecorated whereas the inner surface is particularly elaborately decorated. In the centre is a standing bird, most likely a crane (a symbol of longevity), together with various plants and blossoms. Japanese Kiri wood two(2) section Tansu, Kiri and Cedar chest on chest, Meiji period, before 1900, 42" high, 33" wide, 17" deep with 5 graduated size long drawers, and carved and engraved floral shape black iron back plates have different motif carvings, and black iron handles. A pair of rare 19th C Chinese hand carved hardwood, possibly Hong Mu wood, Scholars desk trays in a large lily pad leaf design with flower heads.
