Wonderful antique Japanese okimono of the mythical characters Ashinaga and Tenaga. The two friends live on the beach and survive on fish. Tenaga catches them with his long arms while sitting on the back of Ashinaga who wades out into the water with his long legs. Carved with great detail and whimsy out of boxwood. "Brother, can you spare a dime?" This fun vintage large cast iron Fedora hat-form paperweight is straight out of the 30's, comprised of gold painted nicely detailed banded hat with a worn look, circa 1940, probably American made. Measurements: 4 1/2" long x 3 1/2" wide x 2 1/2" high. Great condition having a few bumps and bruises made to look authentic. Slight wear to the finish adds to the overall look of the hat.

This rare set of five hand wrought 1930's sterling silver heart shaped buttons were designed & signed by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling in the 1930's. Each button measures 3/4" X 3/4". All are in beautiful condition & each is signed on the reverse with the early WS hallmark. In our 30+ years of collecting Spratling we have never come across this design.

This Hattie Carnegie is unsigned. It has her characteristic lucite (resin) coral body with clear rhinestones set in gold tone. It has a ridged segmented curler body, scales, horn and lower jaw open to expose the openwork metal. It is 2 7/8" x 1 3/4" . Excellent condition.

Japanese Meiji to Showa period oval form ikebana basket (hanakago) hand-woven from reddish bamboo with natural gnarled wood branches incorporated. Four strips rise from each side of the shoulder and are twisted together to form the high loop handle. Round mouth and base. 18” high with handle (9 1/4" high excluding handle); about 10” diameter. Late 19th to early 20th century. Very good overall condition with minor wear. From a Scottsdale, Arizona estate.

Lovely Georgian garnet cluster ring set in 18K gold. The garnets are a bright and lively color giving the ring great panache. The ring is a size 8 and measures 5/8" at its widest.

This is a 17th century, coloured stone Buddha statue. It is curved out of a single piece of solid rock. A wonderfully designed and crafted pair of hanging pave diamond earrings, set with 300 full-cut diamonds, with the approximate total weight of 3.25Ct. The top of the earrings are round half domes with a post in the back. The elongated tear drop shaped bottom parts move, and give the diamonds even more sparkle. The setting is 14Kt yellow gold with openwork in the back. The total length of the earrings is 1 5/8”.

Interesting vintage pair of 14K yellow gold cufflinks, the faces set with detailed medallions depicting a Native American above black onyx plaques. The edges are finished in a classic ropetwist motif. The backs are marked "14K."

This very stylish shell cameo set in a 14Kt white gold filigree frame, dates back to the 1920-s. The 33 X 45 millimeter oval cameo depicts a bust of a lady with a diamond and emerald earring. The broach is extremely versatile since a fold down swivel type bail makes it wearable as a pendant as well.

Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period rectangular form porcelain plaque painted in famille rose enamels and gilt highlights with a crane on a pine branch above thick leafy flowers. A poem at the upper left is dated in Chinese cycle years to winter of 1902 and signed Jiang Yongyuan (active circa 1899-1919) at Zhushan, a district of Jingdezhen. Exquisite set of Japanese Dairi bina (hina), the emperor and the empress dolls from early to mid Showa period. This is not a large set of dolls. The measurements of the wood box are 17” wide x 12 3/4” tall x 13 1/2” deep. We should add the approximate sizes of dolls. Exquisite Barovier bowl and pestle set profusely filled with an aventurine gold spiral pattern on the interior with an exterior thread of blue/green lattimo. The rim of the bowl has a scissor cut which lends a dramatic modern aesthetic to the form. It is unusual to find these sets together. This one is a beauty!
