This pair of wine cups are small but absolutely beautiful. The workmanship shows off the impeccable finesse with which Kangxi potters made their wares. The cobalt blue is true and vibrant, the painting bold, and the molded shape (two layers of lotus petals!) charming.
Antique Tibetan bronze vajra dorje. The handle has three heads topped with a horse. The vajra connects the hilt to the head of Makara where a three edged blade is attached. It was made in Tibet in the 19th/20th century, obtained in Kathmandu in the 1960s. It measures 12" long.
Black - brown iron glaze on a stoneware body. South China thirteenth to fourteenth centuries.
There are also Thai pieces in a quite similar shape, but please don´t confound this piece with a Thai piece.

This is a southern Song dynasty (1131 - 1276 A.D) yingqing or qingpai covered bowl in a sea green glazed. It stands on a short recessed glazed footrim and then everted into a straight U-shaped bowl with unglazed rim. The inside of the bowl is also glazed with yingqing sea green colour. Unusual Thai architectural sculpture known as a chofa. These beast-like ornaments embellish temple and palace rooftops as a symbol of power and protection. Natural patina and remnants of red and gilt lacquer show antiquity. A photo is shown to demonstrate how a chofa would look while still in place on a temple roof. Mid 18th century bronze sitting Guan Yin statue from Nepal. It is 8 ½ inches tall, 5 inches wide and 4 inches deep. A few holes have appeared in the thinner parts of the casting and two fingers are missing. It is in fair condition.
Geyao cup in a very nice Song Dynasty inspired shape. Seventeenth century.
The brown clay to the base seems to be the original grey stoneware which turned to a dark brown during the firing process.
It seems not just to be a brown slip which covers the unglazed body to the base which would be typical for Qing pieces their intention it is to pretend a Song Dynasty piece.
