Unusual Chinese temple corbel made of hand carved wood. With black, red, and gilt lacquer pigments, carved with the head of a dragon, a bird, and flora. Very interesting style of carving, similar to that of Mayan imagery.

This is a very fine and highly decorated cloisonne vase from Ota. I has 6 different panels and loads of detail and colorful scroll work. The hardwood (Rosewood or Mahogany) stand is old an is included with the vase. The vase stands 6 inches tall and is in excellent condition.

Unusual and original antique Japanese cast iron zen panel gong, or "umpan" meaning "cloud plate", usually hung outside of the kitchen area. Stylized decorations on the front include characters meaning both "sun" and "moon", a lucky bat, gourd medicine bottles, and lotus petals.

This is indigo dyeing cotton Tsutsugaki Futon- cover used in a rich merchant's family for the Meiji period. As for this, cotton is spun by hand precisely. As for this, a pattern is Tabanenosi and a family coat of arms. As for this, Tabanenosi is expressed like Kuwagata Maedate of Samurai Kabuto. And Kuwagata Maedate of Samurai surrounds a family coat of arms. This seems to express a family in succession to a pride of Samurai...

Chinese Cizhou type small bowl, with a character "Yuan" on the inside bottom of the bowl. Yuan Dynasty. Condition: there are some glaze chips on the rim, no other flaw beside these. Diameter: 4-3/8".
Charming Japanese small tansu (merchant's chest) in original red lacquer finish with black lacquer frame, made with Kuri (chestnut) front drawers and Sugi (cypress) sides. Decorative floral iron locks on each drawer with key included. Would make an excellent bed side chest or small table/chest for living room.
