Very rare ewer, Tang to Five Dynasties ( late 9th - 10th century ) Porcelainous ware with grooved and impressed comb design, brownish glaze. Phoenix - headed spout. There is a small lost at the right site of the spout ( look the photo ) and a nearly not viseable hairline around the spout, but not broken. H : 7,5 inc.

Yuan dynasty ( 1271 - 1368 ) green glazed jar with molded decoration ( dragon motive ) Zhejiang ( longquan ). Very nice glaze with minute original fritting to the rim, but no demage ! H : 3,25 inc. D : 3,8 inc.

This is a genuine Ming Chenghua ( 1465 - 1487 ) minyao blue and white " ducks " dish. This rare piece has the wonderful watery blue, the honey white body and the extremely nice silky glaze, which is all typical for the genuine Chenghua pieces. A really extremely nice kollector piece in nice kondition - there only is one single minute chip. The dish is also very well painted at the back site in a typical Chenghua design ! D : 6,7 inc.

This genuine late Ming - Transitional blue and white dish is extraordinary, because in the design of this dish there come 3 different styles together. The front design is executed in the Transitional style, the back site of this dish is painted in the Ming Jiajing style, and the mark in the center is the Imperial Ming Xuande mark ! Very nice glaze and kobalt blue. 2 small nearly not visiable hairlines. D : 5,5 inc.

Early blue and white semi porcelain dish from the Ming Zhengtong period ( 1436 - 1449 ) with a for this period typical garden setting scene . Mint condition ( the glaze is still very nice ) D : 6 1/4 inc.

The Koto is a string instrument that originated in China and came to Japan in the 7th ¨C 8th century. The Japanese Koto is a large instrument, about six feet long. This rare smaller version of Koto from Meiji Period (1868~1911) is 21 inches long, 4 inches wide and 2 ½ inches tall. It has a hollow body made from Kiri wood, underneath the body are two sound holes, one at each end. There are 13 strings which are tied over at each end of the body...

This 18th or 19th century green glazed and carved porcelain brush holder signed by ¡°Wang Bing Rong¡± is 5 inches tall and 3 ¼ inches in diameter. It depicts a plum tree in full bloom. The design is simple and elegant. The workmanship is just wonderful. The piece is in great condition. Information on Wang Bing Rong is presented under item inventory number 1045.

This 17th century carved polychrome wood head of Guan Yin (Goddess of Mercy) is 15 inches tall, 7 inches wide and 7 inches in depth. The solid teak wood base is 3 ¼ inches high, 9 inches wide and 8 ¾ inches in depth. This statue was part of the collection of a professor who spent over 20 years in China. Some of the color has come off and there is a long crack on the back of her head due to the age of this statue.

This is a Austrian rural style chest, a so called carved " Bauerntruhe " from Styria. Softwood ( pine needle wood ) This piece from about 1750 originaly was only to open from upwards. To make this nice piece more useable for everydays use, there recentely was made 2 doors into the front side of the chest. These 2 doors are not visible, when they are closed.
