A fine porcelain cup and deep saucer decorated with hand painted birds sitting on braches near the ground. The cup and saucer are also decorated with randomly placed puce sprigs. Unmarked, but numerous examples of similar birds with puce sprigs are on marked Ansbach pieces. Saucer 5 ¼ inches (13.4 cm) diameter. Cup 4 inches (10 cm) diameter including the handle, 3 ¼ inches (8 cm) without it. Cup 2 inches (5 cm) tall.

A fine pair of 18th century English wine glasses in a unusual deep bluish-green color, each with an ovoid bowl over a conical foot with a polished pontil. Each is 5" tall, with a bowl diameter of 2 3/8" and a foot diameter of 2 5/8". Excellent condition with no chips, polishing, or other restoration.
An ancient Egyptian Scaraboid, c. 1200 BC, from the famous Mitry collection (see our Homepage). It is X” long (X mm) and made of steatite, an easy-to-carve stone that hardens when heated. Scarabs empowered life and resurrection and were often placed under mummy wrappings to protect the body and to help it resurrect. This Scarab comes in a jewelry display cup.
Offered is a wonderfully hand-crafted, 19th century SMOOTHING PLANE.
This lovely example has a subtle, coffin-shape form and sports a dovetailed base that was expertly joined. This handsome tool measures 7.25 inches long and retains its original, aged, brownish patina. The owner's initials, "N.S", are stamped on the heel of this plane.
The condition is commensurate with a mildly-used, antique hand tool...

This early very beautiful Civil War era capelet is a rich reddish brown calico made with the finest cotton fabric that looks like it might be homespun. The workmanship is the best. The capelet is 14” back of neck to bottom and is 10” front down to bottom and 24” spread out. Circa 1860 and excellent condition and Museum quality.

This late 19th century masterpiece is sure to please, as it it is uncommon to find these ring dishes with the original glass insert. It measures 4" in diameter.
A large, Museum Quality pottery figure of a male attendant carrying a flask or a vase under his arm. The figure dates to Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644 AD.
