A nice collection of 11 GENUINE MING DYNASTY-PERIOD (1368-1644) BLUE + WHITE PORCELAIN SOUP SPOONS. This type of porcelain spoon was used in China as early as the Shang Dynasty, and predated chopsticks. Size: length 4" to 4 1/2". All in good condition overall. A lovely massive relief carved in fine-crystalized white Marble from a grave, Roman Imperial Period, Eastern mediterraean, Late 2nd. / first half 3rd. century A.D.

The relief is showing a frontally standing family with raised right hands in an architectural frame.

Size: 42 cm. wide and 33 cm. tall and 7 cm. thick - a very impressive piece!

Condition: Choice, some overall wear, but fine for the type.

A fine set of the earliest types of bronze Manillas socalled Slavetrader bracelets, Africa, Nigeria, 16th.-18th. cent. AD.

These were made and used as currency well up in the 19th. century, but our selection are very old! These come with exceptionally fine jade like patinas and were wrongly sold as European bronzeage bracelets.
