This porcelain plate was produced in Limbach Germany, by Gotthelf Greiner between 1772 and 1787. It has an under glaze blue mark with a star. The plate has a diameter of 9 inches. It is indented about 1/2 inch toward the middle making it deep in the center. The border of 1 1/2 inches is reticulated or pierced. The piercing was done with a knife by hand. An incredible blackstone finial from a sceptre or macehead, Pre-columbian Moche Culture, ca. 4th.-7th. cent. AD.

An exceptional piece decorated with 4 figures in each corner of the trapezoid carving; they are holding on their belly with both hands and each is wearing a headdress. An outstanding and very large pottery sculpture of a Fish, Indonesia, Majahapit Empire, 13th.-14th. century AD.

The sculpture comes with a termo-Luminescence test from Kotalla Laboratory in Dec. 2020, the vessel tested as ca. 590 years old.

The fish is resting on a large podium with it's tail and head lifted, it's sharp teeth visible in a large curving mouth. A museum quality rendering and among the finest pottery art known for Majahapit, available on the market.

A stunning footed cut glass compote in Hawkes’ “Delft Diamond” pattern. While the pattern is not especially ornate, the deep emerald green color of the blank is amazing. The knopped stem has an elongated airtrap bubble that’s difficult to see because the color of the glass is so rich. The plain round foot is acid-stamped with Hawkes’ trefoil signature, which would suggest a relatively early date.

A wonderful and amusing hooked rug depicting an aardvark. I have collected many rugs featuring animals but have never seen another with an aardvark. Well, at least I think this is someone's interpretation of an aardvark, or possibly a beaver, armadillo or pangolin. A fine example of a coffee can made by the Seth Pennington Liverpool factory. The pattern, known as the "Scolding Woman" shows two polychrome Chinoiserie figures along with a large tree and rockwork.

The condition is superb, with no flaws and looking factory fresh. The height is 2 1/2" and the diameter is 2 1/4".

Another Tea kettle from our tetsubin collection: a cast iron Tea kettle tetsubin from China, marked 'Kangxi, 40th year (1700) and the name of a maker 'Kichinichi zo'.

A charming hooked rug depicting a woman holding a flower and sitting in a chair beside a large kettle over an open fire. The wall behind her shows a painting and a window through which can be seen a church. Rugs of this size and this period showing an interior scene are quite uncommon.

The 21" by 17" rug is mounted in a museum approved manner on acid free board. The condition is excellent, with no issues.
