Antique Japanese bronze hibachi decorated with dragons and chickens. The chickens have their wings spread as they give the illusion they are flying out of the body. The dragons walk across the body of the vessel. There are three small feet with incised scrolling designs. It measures 9" tall, 13" wide at the mouth, 18" wide from handle to handle. Meiji period, 1868-1912.

This Japanese hibachi is made from a single piece of Kiri wood, aka paulownia. A design of thick raised gold lacquer, aka Makie depicts Botan peony plant with added colors of pink and green for definition of flower and a single leaf. Hibachi comes with the original copper insert and the condition is very good. A couple of hard to find scratches and tiny (pinheadsize) dents on the top rim. Hibachi dates from late Meiji period. The size is approx 6.5" diameter x 6” high

Chinese Han Dynasty (206 B.C. - A.D. 220) bronze lidded censor, round form, on three legs, incised characters on both front and back sides, handles on either side, beautiful patina, sits on beautifully carved hardwood stand made later during the 19th century. Total size: 6 3/4" high x 8 1/4" wide including handles. Bronze alone is 6 1/4" high

The central mikomi framed by a narrow atypical floral band depicts an oversized figure holding a rod standing upon a bridge with two oxen set in a classic Chinese “sansui” landscape’...

A dish in the form of an auspicious Manchurian Red Crowned Crane decorated in green, black and iron red enamels with gilding. Dating Kyoho in period circa 1710-30. The dish measures approximately 17cm in wingspan and approximately 13 cm from tail to head. It is in good condition with no cracks, chips or restoration some very minor wear to the enamels and kiln flaws. Shipping at Cost

This is an old traditional style top shirt which would have been worn by a young girl of the Yi Chinese ethnic minority from Yunnan Province. the fabric is made from home grown cotton, hand spun, and hand woven. The collar surround and cuffs are trimmed with an intricate batik pattern and the tiniest embroidery stitched I have ever seen. The shirt has its original buttons. Good size for framing 14 inches across the chest.

A quite large perfect potted jarlet, glazed with an nice bluegreen "Guan" glaze. The piece is very decorative because of the color of the Celadon glaze and the striking and unusual deep crackles in the glaze ( please look at the enlargements ) Song - Yuan Dynasty, Longquan ware. A very rare scroll weight resp. paper weight made from glass and painted with a very pleasing romantic landscape . This painting is done in a typical Qianlong manner on a opaque white glaze and is covered with a thick layer of transparent glaze. Qianlong Period ( 1736 - 1795 ) On the back side of the piece is something like a very small signature which can be seen on the last enlargement. L : 17,5 cm. B : 3,3 cm. H : 1,2 cm. Fine Famille Rose Teapot Cover and a Stand. With petal moulding and applied with Lotus stems, leaves and flowers. Decorated in bright enamels with flowering peony. Chinese Yongzheng C1730/40. Height 4 1/4" (10.8cm). Excellent condition, no frits, cracks or restoration. Old collection label attached with sealing wax to base.

Chinese Blue and White Ginger Jar and wood cover. The jar decorated with panels of precious objects on a prunus and cracked ice ground. Kangxi L17thC Height 8" (20.3cm) Condition: excellent, no damage, some wear to glaze.

Chinese Blue and White Dish decorated in underglaze blue with a Dutch river scene. A copy of the Japanese Arita C1700 dishes decorated with a version of the design by the Dutch Delft decorator Frederik Van Frytom. The English Bow factory also copied this design in the mid 18thC. Qianlong C1740/50. Diameter 4 3/4" (12.1cm) Perfect condition.

Well painted Famille Rose jar and cover. Decorated with a scene of Immortals and attendants. Chinese 19thC. Height 7 3/8" (18.7cm). Condition: excellent. The lid has a prefiring bruise under the glaze in the rim 1.3cm.
