An ivory netsuke depicting the samurai warrior Sato Tadanobu, who saved the life of Minamoto no Yoshitsune. Tadanobu is depicted with the goban board under his feet and his right hand behind his head ready to throw the container of pieces, the goke. Japanese early 20th century vase by Sasaki Niroku. The vase is done in the shape of a well bucket with crab on the side. The piece is done in fine detail and very realistically. The vase TOMOBAKO, or original artist signed wooden storage box. The piece measures 9" tall, 6" wide and 6 3/4" deep.

An accomplished and very interesting larger stone cylinder seal, from the Uruk period of Mesopotamia, c. 3500-3000 BC.

The fine drill-style carved shows thick vertical bars, and some strange creatures behind and around these bars. Attractive high relief seal carved in a black stone, with loop at the top instead of the usual vertical drilling.

Antique Kilim runner of Turkish nomadic tribe origin. A series of 9 large bands, each with three large diamond shaped reserves inside which are crosses surrounded by protective hooked borders. Smaller protective diamond shapes and crosses fill in the space around each large motif. Bands of white with small crosses and diamond provide more protection. Hand woven of wool. Circa 1900. Chinese carved white jade with orange coloration areas, in the form of a bunch of lingzhi mushroom sprigs. The lingzhi symbolizes good health and longevity, as depicted in the imperial Forbidden City and Summer Palace.
