This long and slender carved tortoise shell snuff bottle is an early 20th century product. It depicts a PiXiu (貔 貅 or 辟 邪) sitting on the top of rocky mountain, surrounded by clouds. PiXiu is a Chinese mythical creature that is considered to be a very powerful protector regarding the practice of Feng Shui. 19th century Satsuma ceramic vase with tear drop body and narrow neck with painted enamel decoration of a seated rakan (one of the 18 original disciples of the Buddha), his raised hand holding a bowl, Benten - the only female among the 7 Gods of Good Fortune - seated next to him, and an attendant boy with box of offerings kneeling between them. The rare Gold Buddha is know as Bhumisparsa, the mudra of witness (earth touching). The hand with the palm turned inward and all the fingers extended downward touching the singhasana (pedestal supported by a lion) The gesture of touching the earth or calling the earth to witness commemorating Buddha's victory over temptation by the demon Mara. An interesting and beautiful bifacial seal, New Kingdom, reign of Amenhoteb the III, 14th. century BC.

The seal carved in brown steatite. A commemorative seal with one side dedicated to father of Amenhoteb II, Thutmosis III and engraved with his cartouche and throne name. The other side engraved with the name of Amenhoteb twice.

This early 20th century ceramic beast looks like Shi Shi. It is 8 ¾” high, 3 ¾” wide and 7” long. It depicts a brown and beige color sitting beast with its mouth wide open. The maker’s signature “Seyama” is on the bottom. It is in excellent condition.

A fine matching pair of pottery Kyathoi with finely preserved decoration, late archaic or early classic period of 550-525 BC.

Very attractive and in near perfect condition! No repair.

A Japanese Antique Gilt Kutani Porcelain Vase: with mark sign on the base, late 19th Century period. Size; Height of vase is 9 3/4 inches, in very good condition.

18th Century Japanese Netsuke depicting Hotei, one of the Seven Gods of Fortune, the God of Contentment and Happiness, seated on his treasure sack. Incredibly large chimney himotoshi. Very rich two-tone patina. Excellent tactile qualities. Unsigned. Netsuke measures 1.32 inches (3.4cm) wide, and 1.44 inches (3.6cm) tall.

This is a fine, well-hallowed, Aventurine Glass Snuff Bottle of robust circular rounded form, with a high rounded neck, a flat wide lip, and a raised oval flat foot. The slightly translucent stone is made up of thousands of clustered gold and bronze colored sand-like particles within a brown colored ground. It comes with a green jade stopper with spoon.

This excellent looking bottle is in remarkable preserved condition...
