Beautiful thick bronze hollow votive figure in the shape of Dainichi Nyorai sitting on a lotus base, former part of a kakebotoke. His head gear finely engraved with floral motives. Bronze with dark brown patina and traces of gilding. Kamakura period, 14th century.

Small architectural element decorated in relief with Vishnu, in his other name as Anantashayana (meaning "reclining on Ananta"), resting on the many-headed serpent-king called Ananta "the endless". Vishnu is holding the conch ("shankha", symbol of the five existential elements) in both hands. Wood, with fine glossy patina. Nepal, early 17th century, maybe earlier. Height: 6" (15,2 cm). The relief is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand. Erosion due to great age, otherwise good condition.
A nice Chinese export sancai famille verte porcelain statue of a Chinese scholar holding a scroll. Measures about 11 inches high. Base is 3" x 2.25". Circa 1900.
Antique Japanese unusual merchant's box on a custom metal stand. It has a large front door with iron hardware, which opens to reveal three storage drawers inside. The box's lid opens to two compartments covered in black lacquer, with an interesting red lacquer marking on the central panel as well as the inside of the lid. The backside of the box has a large symbol in red pigment. Meiji Period (1868 - 1912)

Antique Japanese choba tansu (merchant's chest) made with solid keyaki wood on entire front and top with beautiful patina and dramatic grain. The top drawer and locking bar have elaborate iron hardware including locks with one key. The locking bar has ironwork in the form of a stock of bamboo and locks three drawers. The bottom portion of the chest has sliding panels with vertical slats and the lower right of the chest has a safe box with two small interior drawer also made of keyaki wood...
Antique Chinese celadon ware tea pot, of a polygonal form. The glaze is a translucent light blue-green with attractive crackling. The lid and the handle have small hollow, cylindrical pieces to cord them together. Possible dates from the Song period.
