Ming Dynasty, ca. 1600

This tea bowl sized dish is decorated in underglaze cobalt on two sides of the exterior with a rapidly-brushed floral design, and with a flower on the interior base. It is well-potted and raised on a low footring with a recessed base that is glazed and reveals chatter marks from the trimming. The footring was hastily cut, with an uneven, but glazed-over area to one side. The rim shows typical fritting and glaze loss, otherwise there are no cracks or restorations...

An excellent Imperial blue and white decorated dish. Superbly thinly potted, the cobalt blue and the glaze like all the details of the dish are excellent. Imperial Kangxi mark ( 1662 - 1722 ) and of the period. Old paper sticker, probably an old inventory number of an old German collection. Diameter : 22cm. Condition : Mint

Chinese archaic pottery figure of a calling camel on a solid base, made from red clay. The statue has a great, incredibly detailed form. The inside body of the camel is hollow and within it you can see finger imprints from the original artist. In wonderful, original condition. Tang Dynasty dates from AD 618-907. Size: 22" H

19th century Chinese small carved boxwood architectural panel depicting a Chinese scholar with 3 attendants among pavilions and trees. Must have been part of an altar piece. Wonderful quality carving with piercing and deep undercutting, rich detailing (see several Fungus of Immortality), very pleasant wear and patina. Size 2 3/8 x 4 7/8 x 9/16 inches. Unique and charming bronze chinese senser with Wood Lid and Stand. Hard wood is hand carved, bronze has detail of flower and lilly pad. Late Qing Chinese red tixi cinnabar circular box decorated with alternating layers of red and black lacquer deeply carved to create intricate designs The box has a beautiful sheen to the surface so that the layers of lacquer simply pop. High quality and in excellent condition, it measures 3” diameter, and 1.5” high. Circa 1850.

This small wooden box has a charming scene with 2 happy dragons carved into the sliding top. All 4 sides are carved. Late Qing period, box is in good condition, and measures 5" x 3" x 1.5

From our Shipwreck Porcelain Collection, a fine blue and white porcelain dish, ex-Christie's, executed in the "Boatman Pattern" from the so-called "Nanking Cargo," which is the term applied to the porcelain recovered from the wreck of the Geldermalsen that sank on January 3rd, 1752. The Geldermalsen was a cargo ship belonging to the Dutch East India Company that struck a reef on its way back from Canton China, and sank off the coast of Indonesia in the Linnga archipelago...

 

A nice and finely potted famille rose covered teacup dated to the Tongzhi period. It has a scene of a garden with flowers, grass and butterlies flying. A red Tonzhi reign mark to the top of the cover and base of the teacup.

Generally in very good condition. Minor pinholes. No hairline, glaze fritting,crack, repair or restoration.

The dimension of the teacup is: the height with cover on is 8.1cm and the diameter is 10cm.

A natural amber snuff bottle carved with a Phoenix on one side with floral design and the other side with a bat and a holy man in prayer. Size: H. 5cm. W. 3cm. Condition: No repairs.

Good conditions. 20 cm diameter.
