Japanese dated Edo period rectangular form wood "senryo-bako" hinged coin box on two geta feet with cast iron hardware including edge brackets, hinges, handle, and front lockplate. A barely readable black ink inscription on the bottom dates the box to the first year of the Bunkiu era (1861). This is a finely hand carved, 19th Century Kurokaki Wood Netsuke depicting Tenaga "Long Arms" being carried on the back of Ashinaga "Long Legs". Japanese Imari Porcelain covered Serving Bowl, Ca. Meiji Period, from 1868-1912, 5 3/4" high, 9 3/4" diameter-widest measurement, with typical overglaze decoration of red double fish, flying Phoenix Bird on top of various shape and design of underglaze blue decoration and highlighted in gold.
