Japanese Cast Iron Tetsubin, Tea Kettle, tea pot signed by "Ryobundo", "as is" condition, Meiji period, 1910, 8 1/2" high include handle, 7 1/4" wide include spout, signed under the Bronze top, the top knob is damaged. The surface finished with raised circles on the upper section and sandy finish.

Extraordinary and more than one hundred year old water jar Mizusashi. It is signed by an unknown artist on the bottom.

This Bizen ware Mizusashi has a breathtaking shape and very good yellowish natural glaze called Goma. Great!

Mizusashi are containers of fresh water for replenishing the pot and rinsing bowls in the tea ceremony.

No chips or cracks, heavy weight 2,2 kg. Size: 5.5'' height, 7.92'' width.

The is a small stoutly made cloisonne teapot.The piece shows better and the enamels are more glossy than what is see here in the close-up enlarged images. The condition is good but there is some enamel damage on the lid that can be seen in the images and the bronze rim of the pot is flattened a bit. The piece is 3 1/2 inches tall and about 4 inches across at the spout. Like many of Namikawa Yasuyuki pieces. the ground color is black.

Rustic round platter, called ishizara in Japanese, used in kitchens and commoners’ households. Pale yellow glaze that typically leaves the foot free. The plate is slightly warped, as is common with ishizara. Seto ware, Edo period.

In the Meiji era this plate was additionally decorated in moriage technique with overglaze enamels that required lower kiln temperatures...

A pair small cloisonné enamel vases with roundels containing flowers or butterflies amidst spiral shaped wire ground, some highlights in goldstone. Gilt wires, rim and base. Signed "Takahara". Condition: fine. Dimension: c. 9.8 cm high.

This is a wonderful bright and colorful wireless cloisonne vase from Kumeno. The vase actually looks more like porcelain than cloisonne enamel. It has a pleasing stout form and is in excellent overall condition with some rim oxidation/wear. It stands 6 inches tall and is 5 inches wide.

This is a rare example of a Japanese cloisonne teapot done in the Kyoto style. This piece is in amazing condition for it age. The pot measures 6 1/2 inches across and 6 inches tall with the handle up.

This is a beautiful rare Japanese Cloisonne tray. If it were not signed, many would attribute this fine piece to the workshop of Namikawa Sosuke. The workmanship on this piece exceeds that of many other cloisonne trays to be seen with roosters or chickens. The tray measure just under 11 by 11 inches. Condition is very good but there is a slight indent on the rim with a minor bit of crazing at this spot on the reverse side. To view see the last 2 images.

This is a rare and large wireless cloisonne vase. It is not signed but because of the Iris flowers and water plants we believe it was made by Gonda. In fact we once had a signed Gonda piece with Koi and almost identical water plants. A beautiful large vase that looks perfect but upon very close inspection, a line deep in the enamel can be seen in bright light. I show it on the last image. This vase 18 1/2 inches tall, heavy and stoutly made.

Beautiful Antique Japanese tea kettle. Made in iron, there are vertical striations down the sides of kettle overlayed with bunches of grapes and vines, as well as flying birds. The guard shape of the kettle and handle symbolizes the seasonal autumn months and harvest. The kettle lid models a bronze red two toned beautifully lacquered glazing. This is a beautiful rare box signed by Honda. We have never seen a box signed by Honda before this one. As an added bonus, the box is in excellent condition. Has silver rims and measures about 5 x 4 x 2 1/2 inches.

This is a very beautiful and stylish Japanese Cloisonne vase. It looks like it could have been made a piece made by Kawaguchi Bunzaeoman but it is signed with a tiny script by Ota. It was primarily created in the basse-taille style with traditional cloisonne then used with the flowers and leaves. The vase is heavy for its size and the enamel is thickly applied. This is a beautiful Japanese cloisonne vase. Though not signed, the workmanship and colors clearly speaks Hayashi Kodenji made this. This same opinion is held by North America's leading cloisonne collector. The vase stands 7 1/4 inches tall. It appears perfect but there is a virtually invisible repair to the midnight blue enamel edge shown in the last image.

This is a very fine early Japanese plique-a-jour bowl. The bowl measures 4 3/8 inches across and stands 2 1/4 inches tall. The bowl has two short lines in the yellow/red mums on the side that are hard to see. Look for them in the images. They can not be felt with a fingernail and are probably not all the way through. It is mounted with silver rims.

This is a beautiful and highly unusual Meiji era vase. It's decorated with gold fish or Oranda swimming around water plants and hanging wisteria. It measures Measures 9 5/8". Condition is very good with a very faint hit/blemish low on the vase. Tough to see even when looking for it. This vase is not signed but everything about it says, made by Ogasawaro Shuzo
