Jalisco Pottery Ameca Female Figure. Mexico. Circa. 200 B.C. – 100 A.D. 7 5/8” x 6” . Need more sizes. Hollow pottery example. A medium seated Ameca style female figure, cream slip surface with traces of black painted decoration. Mineral deposits and root marks on the surface. Repaired form approximately six original pieces, left arm retached with breakline clearly visible with loss along breakline.

This very fine Colima figure is a great work of art, able to balance itself in a position of action. It is also possible that this figure is a warrior holding a club rather than a bat.This piece dates from 300BC to 200AD. A stone necklace composed of numerous beads of graduated size, variously of globular, tubular or irregular form in shades of light green, white and grey. They are suspending a Mezcala stone head pendant with broad incisions used to mark the facial characteristics and drilled at the back of the head. The suspended length as pictured is 15".

A Veracruz stone yoke circa 250-950 AD in characteristic U-form, the thick implement with polished surface except for the outside. A flat top, the sides tapering slightly downwards. The end of each arm is relief- carved with an ornate pattern of complementary bands and scrolling plumage-like motifs. Remains of a red pigment in a speckled grey-light green stone. A very beautiful matching pair of Maya Jade ear ornaments from the classic period CA 500 AD to 800 AD. Both measuring 3 1/2" by 3 1/4".The form is Semi round having a large central opening and wide flare. Both have double perforations for attachment. A small amount of red pigment on each. Very unique translucent Spondylus shell human carving which is red/cream-colored found in the coastal area of Peru. 1 3/8" by 3/4". Collected in the 1950s by L. L. Dees. Ewer with short neck which has two lugs and wide foot which has a cut foot rim. The handle is flat and double-grooved. Glaze brownish celadon. Height=18cm. Five Dynasty-Song 10th-12th century. Condition : Excellent, firing crack to the foot, without damage or restoration.
