The themes are repeated on all sides of the box. Inside fans emblazoned with seasonal flowers and pine boughs decorate the Nashiji surface...

Antique pair of Japanese stirrups (Abumi), from late Edo or Meiji Eras, of iron with black lacquer finish, lacquer red interiors, lacquer with iridescent shell pieces (lac burgautte), they are authentic and early examples of this fine form. Measure 11 3/4" long, 10 1/4" high and 5 3/8" wide. The curved bottom is roughly 19" to the point where vertical section is attached. The entire exterior of the stirrups is covered with black lacquer, and the edges contain the lac burgautte decoration...

A large Chinese snuff bottle of elegant shape, worked in cloisonne enamel on copper, with gilt rims and wires. The stopper is made en suite, with bone spoon. Both sides with a cartouche showing flowers, sourrounded by lotus scrolls. Condition: traces of usage, especially the lower part with verdigris. Dimension: total height: c. 8.7 cm, c. 4.1 cm wide, c. 2 cm deep.

A good long neck bottle vase with well balance potted and decorated to the body with main classic scroll motif in underglazed red design.
