This Mayan bone carving is unique in that it has a Mayan glyph carved on the back which translates to "Old God". It is 2 1/4" long. The carving is very well done and has extremely rare iconography. As rare as it gets. A museum quality piece. Purchased from Keith Finello.

A Tang Changsha bowl from batu hitam shipwreck belitung, bowl decorate with brown and green color with scroll and fire works motif.
Bowl is in good condition with some degradation glaze at the rim, no chip, no crack, no restoration.

Rare Tang to Five Dynasies ( 618 - 960 ) bowl. Fine crackled white glaze with " Tear Drops " on a pale grey porcelain body.

A seated figure of an emaciated male holding a tube above a small pot. The upper tip of the tube (or staff) is missing, an ancient loss. A minor chip to the end of the nose. Extensive deposits, as can be seen in the photos. The figure measures 9" in height. An expressive,authentic figure.

Featuring a circular body, resting on a short straight foot and is decorated with a carved central floral spray, adorned with combed lines. The box is covered overall in a pale green celadon glaze, except for its base, which is left fully unglazed and partially burnt to red.

A well-modeled figure measuring 8 inches in height. The figure is shown kneeling, with a cape or cloak draped over the left arm, the right hand resting on a knee. A twisted turban sits on the figures head, and prominent "ear-flares" are present. Intact, with losses and abrasions to the surface.
This is a lovely ancient Egyptian Scarab, c. 1400 BC, from the famous Mitry collection (see our Homepage). It is 9/16” long (14 mm) and made of steatite, an easy-to-carve stone that hardens when heated. Scarabs empowered life and resurrection and were often placed under mummy wrappings to protect the body and help it resurrect. This Scarab comes in a jewelry display cup.

Colorful fragment from a sarcophagus. Depicting and facing left, Osiris and two of the four sons of Horus - the falcon headed god - Qebehsenuef and the jackal headed god, Duamutef. All wearing elaborate, cross-hatched, net-design garments. Hieroglyphic inscription and remains of feather design underneath. This ball was refloated from Chinese wrecked ship at Java offshore.
The peeling off of glaze are recognized at several parts on the edge, and no repair or no re-burned.
