A massive and extremely rare Mandarin and famille rose pattern bottle with lid. This rare Chinese export stands at 18 inches high with the lid. In excellent condition, no cracks, hairlines, chips, etc. Only minimal wear to the enamels about the neck handle, where it was most likely held. Circa 1840.

Set of Four Late 19th Century Chinese Celadon Famille Rose Covered Tea Cup & Saucer with Peaches Marked

The cups are 3.3 inches (8.5 cm) tall by 4.25 inches (10.7 cm) wide. The saucers are 5.3 inches (13.4 cm) wide. They are 3.2 lb.

An appealing Seto ware Umanome (Horse eye) motif dish. This type of Seto ware was also referred to as ishizara, which can roughly be translated as stoneware. The first type of Seto stoneware appears in the Mino Taihei Monjo written around 1618. The wares were produced mainly for daily ware during the Edo period and became popular through the Mingei movement in the 20th century.

This is beautiful katsugi silk kimono of the Meiji era(1868-1912). It is totally a design of the scenery such as the sumi drawing. This katsugi-kimono is a formal dress. It will be to decorate your room with very Japanese-style peaceful scenery. It is made with good-quality silk of the habutae silk. It has thin stain and damage. This celadon jade carving of a vessel with lid is a late 19th or early 20th century product. The vessel is called a "ding;" 鼎 a "Taotie" 饕餮 mask appears on both sides of the vessel. It is 5 ½” high (with carved hard wood base is 6 ¾” high), 7 ¾” wide and 2” thick. A ding is an ancient Chinese cauldron with legs, a lid and two handles opposite each other. They were made in two shapes with round vessels having three legs and rectangular ones four...

These vases of tapering square form are decorated overall in famille rose and noir enamels, each having four cartouches depicting courting scenes, surrounded by geometric and floral designs. There are four smaller cartouches on the necks with scenes of scholars and young men. The rims are thinly glazed, and the bases are unglazed...

A very unusual and extremely rare ink cake in the form of a crouching dog, circa 1800. From its underside you see evidence that the ink cake was hand molded, what is even more remarkable is that this is a white ink cake, and most likely would have been used in special paintings of the scholar class. The stand is included but is not antique. The cake measures 3.5" (8.9 cm) long, 1.5" (3.8 cm) high, 2.5" (6.4 cm) wide...

One very lovely hat stand painted with rich bright colors and exhibiting a scene from the red chamber. Genuine Chinese porcelain hat stands are getting hard to find these days. We date this lovely example to about 1910. Measures 11.5" x 5".

A definitely very lovely pair of bowls from the Qing Dynasty, Daoguang Period ( 1821 - 1850 ) The Famille Rose enamels exhibit a very high level colour intensity. Diameter : 10,7 cm. Condition : Very very minute chips resp. fritting to the rim, no crack, wonderful glaze, wonderful enamels.

This round, lidded container is very-well painted on the top of the lid in “fen sai” enamels with a scene of a religious figure surrounded by four children in an open landscape. The side of the lid as well as the side of the bottom half of the box are enameled with floral designs. The container sits on a slightly raised footring revealing the very white porcelain paste. The base is glazed white...

Late 1800s

Shallow form with brilliant turquoise color. The cavetto is molded with thirty-two chrysanthemum petal-form flutes that appear convex on the back-side of the dish and encircle the flattened base. A “China” mark is needle-incised on the base. Very good condition. Acquired 25 years ago in North Carolina from an estate that was involved with the tobacco trade in China. It is rare for a large, delicate flat-rimmed dish, such as this one, to survive without damage...
