A 19th - early 20th century very large "Yun" lacquered betel box with incised design of royal scenes and dancing girls. The box is divided into four pieces. The bottom part for betel leaves and the top part for lime, areca nuts, clove and other ingredients. Size:H. 25.5cm Diameter: 27cm.
Condition: No repairs, an old chip on upper rim and some age cracks on the two bottoms. See last photos.

Antique chinese jade snuff bottle with a beautiful engraving of a water bird standing amid lotus. There are bats carved on each side. The opposite face of the bottle has an inscription derived from the noted Tang Dynasty poet, Cao Song. The poem is from the Quan Tang Si collection of Chinese poetry and the poetry is five character four line verse which ends midway.
