Antique Chinese hanging scroll of a "Courtesan Playing the Flute" signed Qiu Ying. This painting is of two courtesans waiting to entertain the emperor. The emperor would be seated in front of a screen of dragons. The empress would be seated in front of a scene with phoenixes. The courtesan on the right plays the flute while the courtesan on the left holds a fan. The skill of Qui Ying can be seen in the rendering of the sheer quality of the fan, the courtesan's sleeve is visible behind it...

Interesting lattice style sliding carved doors with glass, gorgeous burl Keyaki panels, four drawers, and a unique pull-out shelf that stores away unnoticed. Great original condition and finish. A water dropper, decorated with splashed iron brown spots and a Qingbai ( Yingqing ) glaze over a porcelain body. The flat base unglazed. Yuan Dynasty 1279 - 1368. Diameter : 6,2 cm. H : 5,4 cm. Condition : Perfect ! ( It is nearly impossible to find an ewer or an water dropper of the Yuan Dynasty, on that the spout is not broken or restored. This water dropper is in perfect condition ! )

Japanese antique two section large choba tansu (merchant's chest) from the Kansai area, made with hinoki (Japanese cypress wood) with a beautiful natural finish. The top section has sliding panels made with keyaki burl (elm) and 4 drawers. The bottom section has 3 large drawers and another set of sliding panels with horizontal slats. The lower right hand side has a small drawer below which is a safe box with two interior drawers. The hardware is iron with warabite shaped handles...

Antique Japanese choba tansu (merchant's chest) with interesting features such as semi circle corner hardware, cross plating over sliding doors, squared locks, and mokko (melon) style handles. Antique Japanese triptych print of a landscape with a port scene and mountains by Hiroshige Utagawa. Three individual woodblock prints compose this tranquil port scene at the base of a mountain range. Original condition. Each measures 16.5" tall by 9.75" wide, overall 16.5" by 29.5" wide. They are in very good condition with few signs of age. The first print bears seals in the upper and lower left corners. The second print bears seals in the upper and lower right corners...
