An attractive large fishtail type of dagger, made in the late neolithic period, Daggertime-bronzeage, c. 2000-1600 BC.

A type with an elaborately knapped handle, stiched in the sides and full size for a grown hand. The blade chipped and resized in later periods. Looks originally like a type IV-V to us. Comes with with very old collection tags and another tag written directly in black ink - found at Sorø 1909!

This twin-handled pottery jar was made over 4,000 years ago during the Machang Phase (c. 2300 - 2000 BC) of the Majiayao culture, also known as the Gansu-Yangshao culture, from present day Gansu or Qinghai province. 19th century Edo period Japanese kashira (metal pommel at the end of the hilt of a sword) with multimetal relief inlays depicting a Japanese spiny lobster (Panulirus japonicus). Wonderfully made piece with crisp metalwork, gilding and silver inlaid eyes, some wear. Length 1.29 inches.

An exceedingly rare (in fact the only one I have ever seen) Tenmoku-Dai stand for a Tenmoku Chawan by Suwa Sozan I enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Kuruwa Tenmoku Dai (Curved Circular Tea Bowl Stand). It is made of layer upon layer of lacquer, carved with scrolling designs revealing the depth of the lacquer in a style known as Guri. The artist has carved his seal into the inside of the base. It is 15 cm (6 inches) diameter7.5 cm (3 inches) tall and in excellent condition...

Diameter approximately 20 cm. There are some crack glazes. No hairline and no repair. In good condition.

A fine root wood figure depicting an aged Daoist Immortal, holding a ruyi scepter in one hand and standing on a high rock surrounded by waves in an imaginary sea . The head of the Immortal is partly carved while the body and partly the stand are naturally shaped. Made of two parts fixed together. Ming Dynasty, 17th cent. H. 20,5 cm. Condition: very good patina with some wear .

Of deep rectangular shape, decorated with twigs of different flowers, mainly chrysanthemum and morning glory and leaves in gold and silver hira maki-e on a gold nashiji ground. Beautiful and Unusual antique Tibetan portable flint lock container. The "U" shaped brass body of a lidded box is chased and decorated with the "Wheel of Dharma." Backed with a metal belt loop used to fashion on ones belt. Container to store black powered and lead bullets for matchlock rifle.

DESCRIPTION: An attractive scholar’s brush, the cloisonné handle having colorful vine and floral designs on a black ground. The ferrule and tip are both crafted from turned wood while natural bristles form the full brush. In excellent condition, this is a handsome, well made brush dating from the early 20th C. DIMENSIONS: 13.5" long (34.2 cm).
