12th-17thc Early Islamic Silvered Copper Bowl with Extensive Engraved designs and writing thick and heavy. This piece is possibly from Afghanistan very nice chased and carved designs and the most unique thing is the interior of the bowl having a watered wave like pattern to the metal from hand forging like seen on swords. There is a small crack on the bottom the base has a symbol. Size diameter 7.5" H33/4" and quite heavy

We are glad to present you one of our favorite statues of our collection - very large and precious Chinese Bronze Buddha from the 18th century with rests of gilt.
The Buddha is seated on a lotus base in abhaya mudra position which means protection, peace and the dispelling of fear.
This statue has a Qianglong Seven-Charakter Mark, DA QING QIANLONG NIAN JING ZAO, (1736-1795).

The trade steel blade of typical curve shape is stamped by the maker “Frederick Reynolds Sheffield” is sleeved within the antler handle secured to the tang of the blade by two iron rivets.
Frederick Reynolds (1814-1877) was born at Derby, but had moved to Sheffield by 1841, when he was enumerated in the Census as a razor maker working at Sims Croft...

A decorative fragment taken from the cuffs (horse-hoof shape) of a summer silk dragon robe with five clawed front facing dragons (couched pure silver wrapped threads) on a fish net like gauze weave. Each dragons appears to be wearing headdress. The cuffs from each sleeve are sewn together in the center and the borders are silver brocades. Circa, first half of 19th century. Approx. 19" x 15 1/4"
