The mouth of this vase opens like the thickly petaled chrysanthemum flower over a body decorated in thin blue with a roiling landscape of lakes and trees dotted with pavilions. It is an excellent example of the Hirado tradition in the 19th century. The vase is 14 cm (5-1/2 inches) diameter,28.8 cm (11-1/2 inches) tall and is in excellent condition.

Antique circa 1900 A.D. bone dagger from Papua New Guinea's Sepik River Province. The bone blade of tapering form with a pointed sharp tip is decorated with an incised pattern.
The dagger is topped with a hood crafted from meticulously woven fiber string, and it's further embellished with eight tassels made of a captivating mix of cassowary feathers, shells, and bone beads.
CONDITION: Good, well preserved. It shows signs of usage in all dagger parts with a dark, natural patina...

The decoration of cranes in flight, a symbol of fidelity and courage, among clouds, adorns the entire perimeter of this vase in enamels of different colors above crashing waves.
