A refined Chinese Jade water coup. The water coup is carved in the form of a banana leaf, which is a popular motif in Chinese literati culture. A scholar taste Chinese Jade ink stone. The stone is a nephrite jade in the form of a flat craggily gonshi stone. The use of the stone, which has inclusions would be used to hold colored ink or water. The reverse side is to grind ink stick.

An antique Chinese porcelain water coup glazed in a baby blue hued glaze. The bottom of the coup contains an inscription reading: Da Qing Guanxu Nianxin or Produced During the Reign of Emperor Guangxu , age 1875-1908. Size: Diameter 4" Height 1.3"

The crackled glaze along with the celadon is a classical style that began during the Song dynasty and became popular among the ruling elite. A refined Chinese painting of a Taihu scholar rock set in a planter like object on a stand. The work is attributing to the Italian Jesuit Painter, Giuseppe Castiglione or Lan Shining in Chinese (1688-1766). Shows age but most likely 20th century. Size: Length 20.75" Width 15.78"
A large heavy bottle vase depicting two confronting five clawed dragons amongst clouds and flames and above breaking waves. The base carries the six character seal mark of the Qianlong Emperor (1736-1795)but possibly made later during the 19th Century. It arrived in the UK before 1910 and is from an old West Country estate.
Condition - the neck has been reduced and polished. There are no chips or cracks and there has been no restoration but there are surface scratches...
Small relief fragment in the shape of a statue of Buddha Sakyamuni, in monk's robes, in meditation posture, sitting on a lotus throne backed by an aureola. Stucco, with traces of polychrome pigments. Pakistan, Gandhara Region, Graeco-Buddhist art, 1st to 3rd century. Height: 5" (12,6 cm). The statue is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Chips in some areas, erosion, otherwise good condition.
