Wonderful pair of Kutani ware porcelain rabbits, one is white and one is light brown, both with areas of gold in which each hair has been painted, pink eyes and inside of ears, the light brown rabbit has it's mouth open and displays a row of tiny teeth and a red tongue, great detail and attention to modeling , Meiji Period (1868-1912).

This Persian jar is decorated in underglaze cobalt blue and iron brown and covered inside and out in a thick clear glaze with a blue-green tint. It is potted from a buff colored earthenware that is exposed around the lower portion with the glaze forming a rather thick and uneven curtain above. The footring is unglaze and the base is partially glazed...
This rare Chinese bamboo and jade opium pipe is a mid 19th century product. It is composed of a metal alloy fitting decorated with small pieces of jade and tourmaline as the “saddle”. The two ends of the bamboo are decorated with jadeite. It is 23” long and 1” in diameter. Aside from an age crack and some scratches on the bamboo, it is in good condition.
Taisho (1920s) lacquered wood kogo (box for incense during tea ceremony), its top decorated with gold lacquer pine cones and needles. Elegant object in Japanese taste, perfect lacquer work, two parts fit perfectly, beautiful surfaces, in excellent condition. Diameter 1.88 inches.
Made of camphor wood, gold and red lacquer. The countenance of the Buddha has a full broad complexion and down cast eyes in complete contemplation, flowing robes, hand forming the crown mudra. The back has a consecration covering and three guardian entities; Goat, man, and pig.

Large green glazed Shiwan pottery teapot in the shape of a water bucket with a pour spout, small lid, and carrying handle. In very good condition save for a tiny flea bite on the spout, it measures about 10.5” high (to top of handle) x 9" diameter (10” across including spout). Dates circa 1885.
No longer in existence, the Kahara kiln of Nagasaki—where this tea bowl was crafted—operated from the early to mid Imari period (roughly 1624 - 1671).
A magnificent composite, this piece was excavated from the kiln grounds and repaired using boldly applied silver joinery (gintsugi)...
