A wonderful small porcelain vase in the mille fleur palette, beautifully done by a Chinese artisan. A spiny coral dragon with a tiny gold gilt design wraps around the neck adorning this flowery beauty. Dating circa 1900, these are now extremely hard to find. Measures 4.75" high.

Drawers of various sizes with heavy iron hardware with hirute shaped handles, side handles and four locks. Two compartments with sliding panels. Chinese Qing dynasty compressed bombe form tripod censer with flat rim covered overall in an olive-brown glaze (possibly a celadon variant) that drips over the mouth and down the body leaving the interior and base unglazed. Moulded bats extend around the circumference and two animal mask handles are at the sides. Bagua symbols are in relief on the top. 3 1/8” – 3 1/2" high x 6” diameter of the top rim. A rare authentic antique, pre-contact, most likely a 19th – early 20th century, ceremonial wooden hand drum, "Tifa" or "Kundu" from Papua, New Guinea. The hollow-body entirely carved from one piece of wood in elegant hour-glass form, carved with fine traditional tribal motifs.

Wa-sarasa futonji made of cotton and dyed with pigments. Wa-sarasa is Japanese calico which is first made in Edo period immitating calico from abroad and stencil-resit dye or woodblock print. The product places were Nabeshima (Saga Pref. in Kyushu), Sakai (Osaka), Nagasaki (Kyushu) etc, however it is not clear where this futonji was made. In excellent condition. Featuring a rounded body rising from a short straight foot, tapering inwards to its shoulders onto a long straight neck, slightly flaring to its mouth. The vase is covered overall in an olive green celadon glaze, except for the base.

This white jade is of an even pale celadon-white tone with a few small veins of light russet. It is carved in the form of a six-lobed melon standing upright and supported by four large leaves that emanate from a vine that runs beneath it. The vine is carved all the way through and flattened on the bottom to provide a stable surface for the stone to stand vertically. This white jade has an overall soft, even polish and is in good condition...
