The saddle seat is Leather and decorated with small tuffs of wool yarn and strips of flat metal (presumed low grade silver) which are embed into the leather in an ornate geometric design.

I replaced the tie which secured the front of the seat to the metal saddle tree...the original cord was literally falling apart...Limited research indicates this saddle was from Rajastan India.

Second of three molded, foliate Kangxi blue and white plates in superb condition. Decorated with eight figures in period costumes in cobalt blue. No chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs or glaze crackle. About 9-1/4" or 23.5cm diameter. The "sleeve dance" depicted can be traced back at least as early as the Zhou dynasty. Please note the finely decorated reverse side with ring of Lingzhi cartouches. Under glaze cobalt blue is identical on all three plates...

Well potted lobed form. The cobalt blue and the representation of the decoration of a Crane is extraordinary nice. Hongzhi - Zhengde Period, Jingdezhen ware. ( A crane decoration was common during the late Ming Periods, but a crane decoration on an middle Ming dish is rare ) Diameter : 20,4 cm. Condition : Perfect. Very nice glaze. On the back of the rim 2 small areas with slight glaze frittings ( the front side absolutely perfect, no crack or chip.)

This stoneware dish is shaped in the form of an oval tray with straight walls, raised on four molded feet. It is glazed overall with a semi-transparent brownish-amber glaze with areas of faint purples and reds. An unglazed area in the center of the base is brush painted with six Chinese characters in iron slip glaze. Some kiln cracking is present on one end and the typical wear for an item of this age and use is evident on the feet and areas of the glaze...
