A Very Fine Incised Lotus Petal Sea Green Celadon Glazed Oil Bootle-12th C.: Korea, Koryo priod, 12th Century Thr squat global body, on raised ring foot, with narrow neck and cup-shaped mouth, incised lotus petal design, beneath a rich clear suffused green celadon glaze, it’s in fine condition but two chips and repairs in real gold, it measures 6.7cm d. x 4.5cm h.

A very large, exceptionally finely cast, bronze censer in Ming form but with archaic (Zhou) style decoration of Imperial quality. The base carries the six character reign mark of the Ming Xuande emperor (1426-1435) but this item was made in China later, during the early 18th Century. Condition - there is old impact damage with an old repair - please view enlargements 5,6,7 and 8; also the five clawed dragons on the base have had a single claw removed; no further damages or restoration...

This carved bamboo brush holder (BiTong) is an early 20th century product. It depicts five sages and two young servants surrounded by pine trees and rocks. It is 6 ½” high and 5”~ 5 ½” in diameter. The carving is elegant and quite deep. Aside from some cracks due to the age and nature of the bamboo, it is in excellent condition.

This rare Japanese bronze incense burner is a mid or late Meiji period product. It depicts a crane resting on an upside down lotus leaf. A small snail is sitting on the leaf as well. The hollow body of the crane is used as burner; the wings can be removed to put incense inside. The open beak and small holes under the feathers will let the smoke out. There is a polished bronze inlay crest on the crane’s head and small bronze points on the feathers...

An exceedingly rare ancient Japanese Heian (794-1185) or Nara Period (710-794) Engraved Bronze Tortoise. The entire shell, front and back, has engraved artistic images of the people and symbols of the era. The tortoise is a symbol of wisdom, and is able to defend itself on its own. A small finely carved hardwood panel, with gold lacquered border, depicting a Scholar on a bridge in a mountain landscape and encased in a silver wire inlaid frame. The panel and frame were made during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - the frame has been crudely re-glued and would benefit from restoration； the panel itself is in excellent condition with no damages or losses. This is tsutsugaki Fireman shirushi hanten coat in Edo period(1603-1867). It is very impressive hanten of the design of the dragon. The material is seems to be hand spun in thick indigo dye cotton. It is very beautiful.It is made of hand-spun and hand-woven and natural indigo dyed cotton. There is a stain. There is no damage. It is very good. size:88cm x 127cm (34.6" x 49,8")

 

yuan dynasty longquan celadon dish decorated with fine molded twin fish. covered with nice green celadon glaze. Dish in good conditions, no chip,no crack, and free from any restorations. except one kiln fault at the rim (please see on the picture). 12cm diameter.

Superbly Decorated Chinese Famille Rose Teapot of small size. Very finely painted with a scene of a reclining couple and a female attendant, the reverse with hanging flowers within a floral gilt scroll on a grey diaper ground. Yongzheng C1722/36. Height 10.5cm, Length 14.5cm. Condition: knop restored, section 3.0cm by 0.8cm restored to flange of lid. No other cracks, chips or restoration.

Circa 1750. A very beautiful and petite vegetable tureen. This is just gorgeous, with bright colors and well painted florals, all of which is beautifully intact. The only damage is the one handle has been re-stuck. The other details to mention is very minor frits along the outer edge of the lid, which is a common production fault with Chinese porcelain in the first couple decades of the 18th century, other than that this tureen is in excellent shape...

A very beautiful Tang Dynasty jar with a pale greenish and slightly bluish glaze effects. This very ancient Tang artifact (681-906 A.D.). is in excellent condition with no hairlines or noticeable damage. Lid and stand included, both which are antiques in their own right. Authenticity is guaranteed. It measures 31.75 cm high or 12.5" high.

Up for sale is a very large antique chinese purple ground brocaded with lotus, vines, and butterfly, executed in gold-wrapped thread ( Look silver from pictures ) silk tapestry, there is a seam in the middle; backed with light orange silk brocade with cloud pattern. This Chinese early 19th century blue and white plate is 8” in diameter and 2” high. It depicts a fruit with leaves in the center; a floral design covers the side and the back. Aside from some blemishes due to the firing and three small chips on the back rim, it is in fairly good condition.

This an exquisite Satsuma tea jar from Ryozan. The gold work and painting are examples of his best workmanship. The piece is in excellent condition but the original lid is missing and this lid has a repair. It was used to help this great piece display better. Maybe some one out there has a better lid for the great piece. It stands 6 inches tall.

Small altar comprising of a statue of Green Tara sitting in regal repose on a lion, with a small statue of a worshipper on her lower right side, the whole group surmounting an elevated throne on four legs with, at the back, a large mandorla on the upper side of which stands a small Buddha in relief.
