Early American Chippendale period tall blanket chest. 18th century. Size: 46 1/2 inches high x 41 inches wide x 19 1/8 inches deep. New England origin with a lift top above two faux drawer fronts over three real drawers, and retaining the original snipe hinges. Fancy cut-scroll bracket base and apron. Brass bail handles are replacements. A rare and early tall blanket chest in a blonde finish.

There are people standing at the edge of a cliff, over looking the Elbe River with the sandstone rock formations in the background...

Chinese miniature porcelain tea caddy with gold decoration. All the gold painting is intact and shows no wear which is pretty amazing. Dates mid to late 1700's, it is a fantastic little piece for the collector. In excellent condition, that is as originally made, the only imperfections are little pin pricks in the firing which is normal. This had a cork stopper which is inside the caddy. Measures 3" high x 2" wide x 1/2". Dates 2nd half 1700's.

An expressive small figure of the long-haired Gama Sennin dressed in a leaf apron, standing on a plinth, with a small toad. Carved from boxwood, the eyes of the immortal are inset in glass. Unsigned. Condition: back with a large and few smaller age cracks (top of the head, arm sleeve), few tiny rim chips. Dimension: c. 15.5 cm high.

Sevres porcelain Meissen style cream jug with floral decoration. Dates 1772. Unmarked. Excellent condition, measures 4.75" high.

Very hard to find Chinese scholar's desk plank. Made of huanghuali wood, the plank has aged beautifully having a wonderful warm golden patina with a beautiful sheen. There are 3 minor age cracks at 3 of the 4 corners. These cracks do not compromise the integrity of this incredible scholar's item, but instead attests to its age. Planks were used to set objects on that a Scholar was using. He could have also used it to display an item or items. Measures 15" x 6.5" x .5"

Fine round stone stamp seal with a symethric carving in the base of Bulls eye pattern, Eastern Anatolia / Western Mesopotamia, early 4th. mill. BC

The seal was aquired by the collector in 1995.

Condition: Nice Very fine, some even wear but intact.

Chinese porcelain pot, decorated with peonies, rocks and birds. The decor is identical on both sides. Two gilt bronze and copper handles in the shape of stylized lion masks have been added. It is important to specify that these handles are of Chinese manufacture from the 18th century and are of excellent quality. This type of mask is sometimes found on 18th century Chinese incense burners. It is possible that these handles were mounted as soon as the vase was created for export or for the Chines...
