Good Tang Dynasty gray clay brick/tile depicting “Atlas” type, Yakshi figure seated on a lotus blossom. I was in Taxila, (cradle of Gandharan Civilization) and saw a similar figure. This illustrates the Greco/Roman influence in Tang art. The lotus shows indicates an obvious Buddhist connection. The left side of the face is molded a bit obscure, but no damage. The size of Bowl: 6 3/4" Dia x 2 1/4". Japanese Ko Imari Blue and White Porcelain Bowl. The bowl was made solidly and very steady with good fine glazing. The center bowl has Hana-Mon (flower mon) design. The side wall has the design of Momo (peach) Karakusa(Chinese grass) design. Peach is lucky symbol. Outside has Karakusa design. The condition of bowl excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline, as well as almost none scratch. The double lines inside has the section with weak underglaze...

This porcelain pot de crème with lid was produced by an unknown Paris porcelain manufacturer before 1850. It is 4 1/4 inches high with the lid. The porcelain is molded with panels and ornaments and a perky little finial on the lid. It has a pedestal base and a fancy handle. The piece is hand painted with pink and blue enamel florals. It is trimmed in blue. CONDITION: Excellent

A Japanese blue & white porcelain dish, moulded in ‘kraak’ style with the cavetto featuring butterflies and peaches in relief. The rinka, or petalled edge, with flowers. The centre of of the dish has a depiction of a gated pavilion set in a fabulous garden. Arita 1750 ~ 1770. A bowl with a very similar border design and alternate moulded butterflies and peaches is shown in the Catalogue of the Shibata Collection, item 3321.

Tang/Five Dynasties, stoneware jar with light olive green glaze and reddish clay body. The foot is rimless and concave. There is a “Jun” type glaze run on the body noted in enlargements- probably unintentional but interesting nonetheless. I have done simple repair on the mouth by filling a shallow chip and applying a layer of gold leaf. H: 12cm/4.8in and D: 9cm/3.5in.

Russian wooden egg, lacquered in black and painted. One side with an orthodox cross and the other probably depicting St Basil’s cathedral in the Kremlin in the late 19th century. It might also show the then newly erected cathedral of the Assumption in Omsk. Height "4 / 10.5 cm. Condition: the painted decoration is flaking, as is the black lacquer (cf. pics).
