A vintage modernist silver necklace with a large central pendant by the master sculptor and artist from Ecuador, Oswaldo Guayasamin. The central pendant measures 2 3/4" long and 3/4" wide. A late Medieval signet ring of silver engraved with strong cross cultural references of the pelican in her piety and navigation symbols of the moon and stars. During the medieval period many were illiterate and pictorial signet rings served the practical purpose of bearing a mark that when impressed upon clay would authenticate documents. The Edwardian fashion for white metal and pale colors is perfectly represented in this lovely bar pin. The white gold is marked and tests 9 k. The pin is 2" long, and is centered with a ½" diamond-shaped, faceted amethyst of lovely color. It dates from the early 20th century.

Elegant silver filigree brooch, a Norwegian solje. Less exuberant in style than most filigree solje brooches, without any enamel or gilt - just two shimmering roundels and the traditional chains holding the little pendant ornaments. Silver standard mark 830S and the pin hook with the three crowns of the Swedish hallmark – the brooch was made around 1900 when Sweden and Norway were united (the union was dissolved in 1905). A very nice and heavy vintage Italian crown-shaped charm or pendant worked in 18K yellow gold and set with citrines and pearls. The gold surfaces are enhanced with rope twist and beaded appliques and wire brushing. The citrines have particularly rich color trending away from yellow and more toward the deep amber shade of cognac. The pearls have nice luster. The bail is stamped with Italian 18K gold hallmarks and French 18K gold import marks.

Mounted with an oval banded carnelian cabochon, the pin is marked 800 to indicate silver content. It could be European, but has Asian elements to it as well. The rollover clasp is an older style but very secure, with a sturdy pin stem. The design features applied wirework and beading, and rough, scalloped edges trimmed in twisted wire.
