A very fine miniature of a young lady, done in watercolor on organic wafer. Signed lower right "Becker Px". The sitter is a wearing a gown with elaborate bows along the neckline and sleeves, and a pink sash. The glassless gilded wood frame is original to the painting.

A very rare and exquisitely carved ivory CICADA NETSUKE, signed, Meiji period, Japan. Excellent condition, no damage or restorations whatsoever. The signature on the bottom is in red on an oval piece of mother of pearl. Details of the cicada's body are incredibly fine and exact. Size: length 5.3 cm x width 1.9 cm x height 1.3 cm. A striking American rendering of a handsome gentleman, nattily attired in a black jacket and tie, and with a patterned vibrant blue vest. In a 2 3/4" by 2 1/4" gilt metal cast foliate frame with a glazed aperture on the reverse.

A fine Old Master drawing in pencil and red chalk on laid paper, measuring 6" by 3 3/4" inside the mat (16 1/4" by 14 1/2" in modern day framing), unsigned, but with accompanying information, a circa 1970 typed label, proclaiming this to be "Lady with Jug", and by listed English late 18th century/early 19th century artist PRINCE HOARE II (1755-1834). A naïve but appealing watercolor and gouache painting on organic wafer of a young gentleman. The background is done with great effect in blues, brown, and pink.

The 2 1/4" by 1 3/4" painting is in fine condition, with no flaws to speak of. The case is structurally sound, with a glazed aperture on the rear, but could use a good overall cleaning.
