Superb quality work, great sense of volume to their chubby bodies, wonderful puzzled faces, crisp carving, gilding and differently colored patinas, in perfect condition. A Group of 8(eight) Yixing Tea Cups. 2(two) teacups have 4.1 cm diameter and 2.6 cm height, 2(two) teacups have 4.6 cm diameter and 2.9 cm height and the other tea cups have 5 cm diameter and 2.9 cm height. The 2(two) tea cups which 5 cm diameter and 2.9 cm height have a hairline inside the cup (not appeared from outside).

Vintage Japanese okimono of one of the 3 wise monkeys in their habitual "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” attitude - in this case Mizaru covering his eyes. Carved in ittobori (one cut) style typical for the Hida school. Measuring 25.2 x 30 cm, this embroidered cloth from Jaghori in Ghazni province was made by Hazara women. It depicts in vibrant colors four eight-pointed stars and triangular hooked motifs down the center. The stitching is a combination of satin, herringbone and cross stitch, in silk thread. Embroidery is an important winter activity for the women of central Afghanistan, a mountainous region where villages can be isolated by snow for months...

This set of 5 porcelain serving bowls is packed in their original paper box. They are a mid-20th century product. The bowls are 2 ¼” high and 4 ½” in diameter. They have blue, green and orange floral and pattern designs inside and outside. There is a maker’s mark “Oyoshi kiln” on the bottoms. They were never used and are in excellent condition.

A ghurra showing a house on the top, very dark shinny patina, great signs of use and great age, Height 27 cm , thickness 5 cm very good condition

This ornate pectorial is from the Highlands region of Papua New Guinea and would have been worn by a man during ceremonial occasions. It is made from plant fiber, which was pigment dyed and studded with nassa shells. The piece is accented on either side by a large white cowrie shell.

This wonderful ethnographic artifact was obtained from the estate of an anthropology professor in St. Louis. Having been stored away for many years, the color of the pigment dyes are still relatively strong.

Very lovely black lacquered 'suzuri bako' writing box with mother of pearl inlaid leaves and swirling gold gilt vines on the cover. Inside is a silver ink pourer and ink stone and brush.
