Chinese Foo Lion carved on 4 corners and lacquered on wood x-cross shape folding display stand, 9 1/2" high, 15 1/2" cross-maximum measurement, 10 1/2" inside display area, center wooden pole is holding two(2) pieces together to make folding position, the wood split in some areas.

Antique brush washer, hand-carved carved from nephrite (one of two species of jade) into the shape of a peach with leaves and a small bat. In Chinese culture, peaches symbolize longevity while bats are symbol of good luck. 18th century Size: 1.5" tall, 2.25" wide

Unusually large Sung Dynasty powder box / container with muted molded design on lid. Nice uniform glaze. Note, there is an apparent hairline on the outer portion of lid which appears only to some extent on the inside of lid. Also, there are a few small chips to the rim of the base section of the powder box. Dimensions: 5 inch diameter, 2 inches in height.

Attractive 2-piece Chinese wooden display cabinet with glass doors and fine inlay work (see photograph # 3 for details). 19th Century, good condition. Size: H. 169 cm. x W. 102 cm. x D. 46 cm. ( 66.5" x 40" x 18").

Song Dynasty green crackled Celadon bowl with a nice shape. There are certain imperfections which mostly appear to be occurrences at time of firing. On the inside of bowl, there is a pock mark / rupture that appears to have occurred at some point when perhaps a stone in the clay was compromised and broken out through the glaze. Dimensions: height 2.75 inches, diameter 5.50 inches.

English Georgian period Mahogany Basin or Wash stand for wash bowl, 32" high, 11" diameter-top, 22" wide with Cabriolet legs-maximum measurement, Wash bowl sitting on the top of the frame, the pitcher rest on the bottom shelf inside indented round area, and triangle shape dovetailed deep drawer with brass drop handle is between top and bottom. Heavy duty metal braces on the bottom of three Cabriolet legs supporting turned vertical columns...

Song Dynasty brown glaze jarlet with four ears. There is no damage other than the glaze degradation due to age. Cavities near base occured during time of its making. Dimensions: 3.5 inches high and 3.5 inches diameter at widest.

Ethiopian 'magic' scroll, inks/paints on parchment. Undated, estimated to be 19th century or earlier. 180 x 10.5cm. Complete, good condition for age.

English Papier Mache triple tier Table, 33" high, 17" x 13" wide oval-table top, and 38" x 21" x 20" - overall maximum measurement, Mid 1800's, with brilliant colors of low relief design of Eagle, Mandarin Duck near the pond and other bird in the rocky garden, all in black lacquer background. A fine print, engraved by Isidore-Stanislas Helman (1743 - 1806) in 1788. The emperor Qianlong ordered in 1766 in France a series of copper engravings representing its conquests of 1755-1759 against the Eleuthes. Only a few copies stayed in Europe. To satisfy the curiosity of the public, the engraver Isidore-Stanislas Helman produced a reduced version. To an era where China fascinated the European public, Helman offered engraving by which he greatly contributed to popularize China in Europe...

A rare Eastern Han (206 BC- 219 AD) jar with incised decoration about the collar area. All the features one wants to see are found on this rare artifact, such as root impressions, worm tracks, and traces of calcified (petrified) roots. This jar is not the typical molded type made for burial, but was actually used in real life as utilitarian ware for everyday use. The jar is in excellent condition and measures 6.5" high x 7" diameter.
