It is a Japanese antique child kimono of hemp ground handspun & natural safflower dyed and shibori dye "Fan face & Hinomaru" pattern of Meiji period.There is a slight slight stain, but it is not noticeable. Meiji period, 1868-1912, medicine konban made of wood, incised characters painted with gold. #1 Eye Medicine - Seikisui (Japan's first eye medicine developed by Kishida Ginko, Rakuzendo from a formula learned in America by Prof. Hepburn) Tokyo, Ginza, Seal reading The Kishida. #2 Superb Effectiveness Hotan. Three cartouches on back. Two gold and red cartouches on front. It measures 27.5" tall, 9.5" wide, 1.2" deep. Overall excellent condition.

Chinese Green Foo Dog Stoneware Joss Stick Holder, 9 1/2" high, 3 1/4" wide, 4 3/4" deep, loose ball inside Foo Dog's mouth, hole in the backside of the head is for the Joss Stick, the condition is good, some loose green glazes around corners of the square base.

17 x 9.25 x 6 inches, 43 x 23.5 x 15 cm. Rare 18th Century Korean Animal Hide and Wood Box. There is a similar 18th Century example in the Tenri University Sankokan Museum, illustrated in the book The Korean Relics in Japan Volume 4, page 339.

A high quality cloisonne vase dating from the Meiji period. Design of ho-o birds among clouds on a green speckled ground. The shoulder with flowers on a black spiral ground. Bottom, rim and wires are gilt. With wood stand. Condition: rim with a small dent (see picture No. 6). Small area with only under the magnifying glass visible imperfections. Dimension: 12.1 cm high. Same shape and close design to item# 1174589.

Antique Japanese 2-section isho tansu (clothing chest of drawers) made of Kiri (paulownia) wood, natural front drawers and red lacquer top and sides. The lockplates of every drawer are shaped as large open fans, and the corner hardware of each drawer are fan-shaped as well. The other hardware implements are decorative with pierced motifs.

Okutani Shuseki (1871-1936) was born in Osaka and lived in Kyoto for most of his life. His artistic lineage is among the very best. He, along with Yamamoto Shunkyo and others, studied under Mori Kansai, who was the pupil and adopted son-in-law of Mori Tetsuzan, who was one of Maruyama Okyo's best pupils. Like all painters of the Mori family school, Shuseki's nature paintings are remarkable for their unsentimental naturalism, showing his keen interest in the essence of nature...

George V sterling silver vase. Made by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. Ltd in Sheffield in 1912. Tapering and girdled tube on stepped foot. Flared and castellated rim with applied molding and ornament. Lion’s head side mounts with hinged and turned rings. Fully marked, including design no. 13163. Very good condition.

Mexican Pre Columbian Tlatilco Terracotta animal or dogs Head. Rare fragment from an early culture c 1200bc-600bc. Tlatilco is noted in particular for its high quality pottery pieces, many featuring Olmec iconography and elaborate hair styles. This head of a large dog or fox like animal from a larger figure. Tlatilco culture made some wonderful animal images as well as villagers holding small dogs . Size 2.5" h by 2.5" wide
