Japanese Cloisonne Vase with a Yellow-Eyed Dragon on a Maroon Field. Baluster form with silver wire inlay. 9.5 inches, 24 cm.

A fine example of a triple knopped double series opaque twist (DSOT) antique wine glass. The bell bowl sits above a stem with three heavy spiral threads outside of a loose central gauze, and with shoulder, medial, and basal knops. Conical foot with rough, snapped pontil.

The vast majority of opaque twist glasses have straight stems, and the addition of even one knop adds substantially to the difficulty of making them, and the value. Each additional knop increases these factors...

17th Century Japanese paloma wood carving of Buddha seated on a lotus leaf. A beautiful piece with a serene presence. It has a wonderful, warm aged patina. 10 inches, 25.5 cm.

A Victorian Oak Wood Tantalus, with three Bottles a Brass Frame and with a Working Lock and Key. Stamped "Mappin and Webb Oxford Street London". Circa 1880-1890. Dimension; 16.5" x 6" x 13" high to handle; total weight approximately 17.5 pounds; bottles approximately 4.4 pounds each. Slight chips on the base of stoppers and on edge of one bottle; Not noticeable. Also two of the brass corners at the base are split (see picture).

Rare Pair of Early Meiji Period Large Inu Gosho Ningyo, Japanese Dog Dolls made of lacquered papier mache. Most known examples are 3 to 5 inches in height. Chin Dogs were part of the Imperial court for centuries. They are wearing Imperial lacquered bibs, and are constructed in the manner of Gosho Ningyo. 10 inches (25.5cm) high.

An English Victorian Syrup or Milk Jug with a Pewter Lid and a Molded Floral Pattern on Base; with a Registry Number for 1861. Dimensions; 6.5" high x 5" across. Excellent condition.

Sterling and 999 pure Silver and Gilt hair ornament of magnificent quality made for an Oria, the highest class of geisha, featuring a crane in flight with flowers and branches and tassels.
