DESCRIPTION: An antique Chinese boxwood toggle (Guajian) carved as a pair of men’s shoes resting side by side, a symbol of marital harmony and the wish for many sons. The shoes are elaborately carved with hollowed interior, relief banding, and incised designs on all sides including the soles. A hole running through the inner sides of each shoe forms the track used for threading cords from which this toggle would have been suspended as a counterweight to some other object...

Antique Chinese small porcelain plate from the Yuan Dynasty. The body of the plate has a foliate form with scalloped rim, white glaze. The entire foot is left unglazed and is slightly recessed.

A large and heavy, partially gilded, Mandalay style marble Buddha finely carved in 19th Century Burma (Myanmar). An antique Dutch silver hand made miniature fireplace from 1900 or earlier. This unusual and well-made decorative miniature stands 1-5/8" high and 1-7/8" wide. It has a tooled gallery around the back plate, an integrated fire fender and floor surround and a space in the bed of the fireplace possibly for a wood cradle or grate (not present)...

Antique Tibetan flint carrying pouch (also mechag or chuck muck), made of leather with heavy plaques of silver and gold with inlaid coral front. Motifs of filigree and animals are seen through the silver plating. The backside of the pouch features a central image of a coiling silver dragon. The pouch is suspended by a red leather strap with rivets.

DESCRIPTION: An early 19th C. three door country New England corner cupboard in original dark blue paint with reddish trim. The interior is washed with a pale green milk paint and has three shelves in the upper portion and storage space in the bottom. Two door panels have age cracks to the wood. A superb piece for a country interior. DIMENSIONS: 71 1/2" high x 41 1/2" wide x 19 1/2" deep.

A Japanese Imari dish decorated with various celebratory motifs within an octagonal border. The back with a ‘running fuku’ mark. 19th century.
