The piece gives a very strong feeling of weathered rock shaped by water and time, and overpowering energy of the mountain range. 1900's Chinese Silk Embroidery "Shou" Calligraphy Fan Case with Peking Glass Beads

The overall length is 17.9 inches (45.5 cm) long. The case is 12.4 inches (31.5 cm) long by 2.36 inches (6 cm) wide. The beads are 0.87 inch (2.2 cm) long by 0.5 inch (1.29 cm) wide. It is 32.8 gram.

It has frayed silk, loose threads, tears at the inner lining, and wears. One of the bead has a chip (as seen in the photos).

Polychrome bronze statuette of a group of mice around a pumpkin and a pomegranate. The five mice have a dark brown patina, while the hollowed-out gourd is dark brown and the split pomegranate is dark red.

Written in a cartouche on one of the pumpkin slices, "Shôsai Foundry" (正齊鋳, shôsai-chû).

Two large butterflies with beautifully elongated and swirling wings fly amidst a profusion of densely embroidered flowers.
