Folk wood carving kitchen tool, early 20th century, Korea, approx. L 44.5cm (17.51in). A hole at grip as seen. Metal fittings and strap were attached in the later years by its ex-owner...

An antique Japanese large Taiko drum made of lacquered hardwood and leather with hand forged iron nails and holding rings. It would make a great side table adding an optional round glass top. When struck, it carries a thunderous sound that would reverberate in any room.

Age: Late Meiji/Taisho (1910-1920)

Antique Japanese tetsubin (kettle for heating water for tea) made of cast iron and decorated with a dragon in swirling clouds. The highly raised design depicts a dragon curling itself around the body of the pot. The clouds over hang in a ledge above the base. There is a large raised cartouche on the back underneath this ridge. The lid is made of bronze.

Age: Taisho Period (1912-1926)

A WWI sterling silver drafting pencil from 1918. This World War I vintage 3-3/8" x 1/2" sterling pencil has a red-painted flat drafting pencil included. The case is fully hallmarked for Sheffield England 1918, it weighs 9.0 grams and it is engraved A. OSBORNE. CANADIAN ENG 21st MAR 1916 22nd OCT. 1918. It was made by S. Mordan & Co. and the pencil is marked HB *ROYAL SOVEREIGN E WOLFF & SON BRITISH MAKE...

Squaty and stout Antique Japanese iron Tetsubin with iron lid. Hailstone covering top half of kettle. Bottom half has beautiful wear with soft ridging. Handle of kettle was made to sit strait up, making this a solid piece. Top on lid is a budding plant, possibly lotus flower. Meiji Period (1868-1912) Dimensions: 8.25" Long, 7.5" Tall

Large Art Nouveau glass cologne with engraved silver overlay. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1910. Globular with short neck and everted rim in silver collar. Ball stopper. Symmetrical overlay in fluid whiplash tendrils and stylized leaves and flowerheads. Elongated oval frame engraved with shaded single-letter (B). Glass is red. Silver fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. D947. Very good condition.

This is a finely potted and painted late Qing early republic vase with calligraphy on the side.

TWO ROOF TILES

Two pieces set of massive but small roof tiles actually used for a private house in Gangwon-do in northeastern Korea, early 20th century, 20.5 x 10 x 0.6 cm (8.07 x 3.93 x 0.23in), 18.5 x 13 x 0.3 cm (7.28 x 5.11 x 0.11in)...

This early 20th century yellow vase mounted as a table lamp is 20” high, 6 ¼” wide and 4 ½” in depth. The vase is 8 ¼” high, 5” wide and 3 ½” in depth. On both the front and back, it depicts a 5 clawed dragon floating between the ocean and the clouds. Eight immortal symbols are on both sides. The vase had been drilled and mounted on a cut out and embossed brass base. It is in great condition.

Massive bowl hollowed out from a single tree, with primitive grooves at inner surface (as funtional design for catching pebbles for cleaning rice up when washing rice) and simple but also functional chiseled-grips at outside, early 20th century, Korea, approx. D 39-39.5 x H 15.5-16.5cm (15.35-15.55 x 6.10-6.49in)...

Amazing antique Chinese porcelain dish. Beautifully formed, glazed with a rich monochrome turquoise color. Standing on four small unglazed feet. Intricately decorated with tiny drum-like rivets around the outer edge and on the inside with raised stylized 5-bat motif around a central prosperity symbol. The underside has an incised 6 character Qianlong zhuanzhu mark (1735-1796) or later.

Gorgeous Art Nouveau sterling bowl with floral repousse rim made by S. Kirk & Son. This bowl has a 10" diameter and is 2" deep. The center monogram is difficult to "read", maybe M O L ? Marked S. Kirk & Son Co., 925/1000, 15x. The condition is excellent. Circa 1915.

Pair of Edwardian Classical sterling silver salt and pepper shakers. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1910. Each: Tapering ovoid body on raised foot. Cover dimed with ornamental piercing and vasiform finial. Fluting and reeding. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 17816 (first produced in 1910), and director’s letter m.
